@mopotter: Well you mention SWTOR, I think they had phasing. In a city I'd see a bunch of people, but when I went off to do a quest I'd only see 3-4 people max and then in my class quests I'd never see anyone that's not in my group. They did a good job there I think and if they do something similar with this it should be fine.
@warmblur: Well the real Division game ended up looking nothing like their trailer either. I think they've learned to not show what they can't deliver.
I can see where this is coming from, and I think this is really why I don't care for Destiny at all. It's not new to me, it feels like games I've already played years ago. They didn't do anything special to make me go "oh, THAT is what makes Destiny cool", whether that be a unique feature or a great story.
I've been feeling at a crossroads, of sorts, with my gaming hobby. It's become increasingly hard for me to get interested in most games. I guess this is what getting old feels like, haha
@PsV1710 @naasum The rating is being lifted by an absurd 100 by the official playstation mag in Australia and a bunch of other sites I've never heard of. There are some reputable sites with high-ish ratings, but more are pretty low.
@RobNyack Given the hype machine surrounding this mediocre game I'm honestly surprised it didn't (undeservedly) receive a higher score. It wouldn't have been the first time.
Kevin is right with the negatives, it's an overly repetitive game
I've been playing it on the PS4 for a few days now and it's okay, but it's not what I thought it'd be. It's more like guild wars with small group instances than it is an open world FPS like say Planetside.
It's not bad, but the often "you have lost connection" and following that the lengthy "migrating host" is beyond annoying. It almost kills the whole game for me.
