That is what sony is counting on. A bunch of morons buying a name without knowing much about it or its competition. Not saying that everyone who bought a ps3 is a moron. Some actually paid attention to what they were getting and wanted it. But sony thinks most of their customers are stupid, and that they will just buy whatever sony gives them.1 of the many resons of why the PS3 will outsell xflop360
the "playstation" name alone... will make PS3 sell more units than xflop360
thats a FACT

[QUOTE="OXIIIIXO"][QUOTE="rappid_rabbit"][QUOTE="OXIIIIXO"]* A 120 Gig HD -- Toshiba 1200 B 2.5" -- $86.60
* Headset: Jabra wirless headset for bluetooth 39.99
* HDMI Cable for PlayStation 3 -- $59.99 (OR * Sony Computer Entertainment Component Cables -- $22.99) rappid_rabbitthe ps3 needs 60 not 120gigs to match the elite, so cut that price in half, and you can get a hdmi cable for about $20
Why would you cut that price in half?
If you buy two 60's its not the same as a single 120GB HDD.
They are comparing it to the 60gig version, so they only need 60gigs more to match the 360 elite, and I'm guessing that a 60gig hdd should cost about half that of a 120gig hdd.
Thats just ridiculous.
You need a 120GB drive to match with the Elite...
Not two 60GB drives that = 120GB to match the Elite.
Im not going to buy another 60GB drive for my PS3 and say "BAM just like the Elite!!!"...thats just stupid.
You just need a big hammer to get two 60GB drives into the same spot in the ps3. I understand his logic. lol.http://www.gametrailers.com/umwatcher.php?id=56655- How can you say that's not possible on the 360?XunknownX

[QUOTE="themyth01"]From the PS1, I've always preferred the PS brand along with Nintendo until the PS3. E3 05 was really a turning point, I was super psyched about the PS3, I was completely sure I was going to get it, it was the machine to get, I mean the xbox360 looked good but man, what's good compared to awesome. Before E3 05 I was basically more casual than hardcore gamer and did not know of these game shows or even this forum, so I just got the platform with more games and good games.
So then came the awekening where as the xbox360 show a decent less than stellar performance, its games were looking great on the other hand the PS3 was nearing its release and gameplay videos starting being released that was a huge letdown, put that with a high price tag, and it was just not looking like the best deal to me. Then the supposedely graphics and gameplay super-prowess started to dissapear and it seemed like it wouldn't even match the 360's games, then came news of Sony using CGI and deceiving tactics, now if MS used real-time footage and even Nintendo (if one would have benefitted from CGI, it was Nintendo, but they didn't) used gameplay why did Sony have to make-up so much hype that left so many bitter. Then titles that were supposed to be PS3-only became multiplatform and after seeing Mass Effect and Gears, I just couldn't justify paying more for a company so rooted on deceiving its customers only to under-deliver, not only graphics(which is actually second to me) but on games.
Anybody else changed their preferences from one console to another?

sony showed you what ps3 will eventually be able to do over time when developers are able to tap its power. i guess that is a little deceptive but not liiing.
Problem is sony said the ps3 would do these things from the beginning. That is very deceptive.
