From a financial standpoint, easily the PS3.

From a game performance standpoint, easily the PS3.

From a longevity of the system standpoint, the Wii.

Although I was mostly dissapointed in the Wii.

[QUOTE="Mozelleple112"][QUOTE="T-Aldous"][QUOTE="lx_theo"] Oh look, two years ago. How about that? They didn't even do it recently.

Those were last gen games anyway. Sony doesnt even let you play last gen games unless you rebuy them.

Then why do I have a PS3 that is fully capable of playing every PS1 and PS2 games in existence? can your crapbox360 do that? Didn't think so. I never used that feature though, so I bought a PS3 slim and only used that. haven't regretted yet.

Just because you and I have a BC PS3, doesnt mean everyone does. And the 360 has a lot of last gen games I can still play.

that invalidates the point that Xbox live dosn't protect online servers?

well original xbox games are a bit different, there is some sort of compatibility issue with some updates, its one thing when its a different system that few people even use , its another thing when they shutdown servers on a current system,

That was my point. Shutting down current gen games kinda disturbing.

So? The point is that its being done all around. At best you an argument that some XBL games have had a couple years longer staying time in multiplayer, which is one of the least minute details anyways because the majority of gamers would have moved on to newer games anyways. Everything else you're implicating in your troll attempt is not associated with the topic you yourself put forward. Then again, my backwards compatible PS3 says hi if you really want to go down that route.

I am simply referring to Sony shutting down the online portions of current gen games. Unless you can name any current gen games that MS no longer offers online support then my point still stands that this could be a disturbing trend form Sony. And I also have a backwards compatible PS3 (its in my sig along with my PSN id) but that does not change the fact that Sony stopped making them a few years ago.

[QUOTE="darkspineslayer"][QUOTE="T-Aldous"]You might have a valid point there. Thats a difference between PSN and XBL, I guess.lx_theo

You might have a valid point there. Thats a difference between PSN and XBL, I guess.

I play games on mine as it has a lot more games than the PS3 has. And I have bought the PS3 exclusives I want, all 9 or so of them.
