[QUOTE="loco145"]Oh, how would I like to have a 3 years guarantee for my Ps3 right now...SolidTy

Tell Sony to make crap PS3 hardware, then get threatened with LAW SUITS, and BANG! We would get it.

Nice plan!

This isn't a THREE YEAR WARRANTY, it's a Warranty that only covers E74 and RROD. Nothing else.

Why would that work, it didn't work with the PS2, it was crap hardware and they did get lawsuits over it.

Acheivement are better: they have been implemented from the beginning so they are a more realistic idea of how much the other person plays, they don't have to do the stupid sync thing, and they are right next to your gamertag so you dont have to do the sync thing again just to see someone elses score or trophies.

[QUOTE="bubnux"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] he doesn't know that the consoles regardless are either built in china, mexico, or korea.themyth01

Same as cars, but then why the same outcome when dealing with the auto industry? Ever pondered the fact that if you buy a domestic car and a Japanese car for the same price in the same day, when you sell em tomorrow... Well, you know where I'm going there. Let me be more direct, most GS'ers (especially fanboys- of both sides) will probably remember the recent article floating around the web where M$ admits they knew aboot the disk scratching problem well before launch, and chose to remedy this with a warning sticker instead of a proper solution to minimize cost? Regardless where the parts are manufactured, that is a decision that could only be made in America. It's cool be proud of it, neither $ony or Nintendo would have the stones to try and pull that one off on it's loyal fans. We won't even get into the other problems M$ knew of before launching. Don't get me wrong, I have a 360 & like many of it's exclusives but that doesn't mean you have to keep your blinders on all day.

No, it's not the same. Not all cars are made in China/Korea. And Sony sold exploding batteries, and lest we forget the rootkit, breaking your movie players.. seriously, all companies make stupid stuff, get over it.

And he talks about wearing blinders!!! lol

[QUOTE="T-Aldous"][QUOTE="bubnux"] Not at all what I'm suggesting. HD DVD would have been a great benifit to devellopers as several dev's have gone on record to day the added space of BRD is obviously welcome, and to my knowledge (HD format : production of drives) being one of the main reasons in the delay of the Playstation launch. What I was implying was had M$ spent a little money and time to deliver a quality and quantity product instead of a quantity product on store shelves faster, they might have launched in tandem (with PS3) - the result being the same (system capability wise) but a product at the same level of quality rivaling the better built Japanese consoles.WilliamRLBaker
What does the fact that the PS3 is a Japanese console have anything to do with the quality?

LOL...you are right. Both the PS3 and the 360: the processor was designed by IBM in California, the guts of both machines were built in Korea or China, and they are both built in China. Neither one of them are Japanese or American!!! lol

In short, the year was spent on delivering a solid piece of hardware. Had M$ spent a year refining the 360 and building a true HD system, HD DVD might have won and the 360 would have the (albeit marginal) graphical edge - not to mention the fact non-gaming baby boomers wouldn't know what the term RROD means. Consoles are already obsolete tech wise well before launch, there is a lot more to be considered than GPU alone and when you disect the consoles you'll find they're built very differently...

I highly doubt HD-DVD would have won the format wars had it delayed for another year NOT on the console market. You seem to be implying the Xbox360 hardware failures were the cause for HD-DVD's failre. That's quite an argument.

Don't let the fanboys get you down, the 360 is awesome. I have 'em all and prefer the 360. Enjoy your 360, they just can't stand the idea of someone switching sides on them.

I kind of understand where you are coming from, I enjoy my 360 the most of the three. That said though, I would try to keep the PS3 and just buy a 360 because its cool to own them all, you aren't stuck without any exclusives.

I think that it would have better textures, anti-aliasing, and shadows. The particle effects would be worse and probably screen pop in.

I see far more cows saying the Wii isn't comparable to thePS3 and that the PS3 released a year later and is outselling the 360 worldwide and so its really in first place! But that they don't care about NPD sales.

duvalbosnian
are you high look at the sales the 360 hasin games http://www.vgchartz.com/atotals.php and we have sold more units overall and seriosly you really really think that the ps3 is in first place kill your self
