Super Metroid. Near the end of the game the last remaining Metroid all grown up attacks you and starts sucking the life out of you. It stops when you have 1 energy tank with 1 out of 99 health remaining. That's when the Metroid recognizes you and thinks your it's mother.Palax
Almost, but a little farther ahead.
Comes out of nowhere and just starts sucking the life out of Mother Brain... of course the giant Metroid dying at the end was also a big OMG moment.
Considering how Microsoft came out with all these casual-oriented features and some family-friendly games, Nintendo still gets more attention just with Animal Crossing and Wii Music. Microsoft tries to go mainstream and yet gets no mainstream love.
Nintendo might have lost among the hardcore gamers, but the casual media loved it.
Well since I have yet to play Dead Rising, I'm thrilled. It was one of the few 360 titles that I really wanted to try, but never did. Here's hoping the Wii version will be good.
For something that I had no expectation for totally blew me away, DJ Ravi Drums. He shone like a light piercing through the darkness that is Nintendo's casualized press conference. Once he appeared I knew my hero had arrived. This man provided me with more entertainment than any hardcore game ever could, even though I was only blessed by his appearnce for a few mere minutes. Can't we all agree that in truth this man won E3 for Nintendo?
