Seriously, there are no rules and sanctions in a real fight. Of course a mixed martial artist will destroy a boxer in an MMA fight, just like a boxer would destroy an MMA fighter in a boxing match.
They're different sports and disciplines and this doesn't prove that MMA is superior to boxing. Both are great and I don't know why some people feel like they have to side with one or the other. GrabTheYayo
This, You couldn't be more right.
A Boxer against a MMA Fighter in a Boxing Match? The Boxer Wins. Boxer vs. MMA in a MMA Match? MMA Wins. They are both great in their own respects, neither is superior.
a boxer vs mma fighter in a street fight? the MMA fighter wins. thats the only thing that matters. i dont get why you guys cant understand that. if this was a fight to the death, randy would have held that choke till tony died. same would happen to mike tyson in his prime, ali, anybody....boxers cant even make it into K1 because they get destroyed by kickboxers and muay thai fighters. its a very flawed fighting style all by itselfI don't get why you can't understand that people often use weapons in streetfights, and rarely is it a 1-on-1 thing. Nothing you saw last night was representative of any real streetfight I've ever witnessed.
MMA is a sport with rules and regulations, not a fight to the death.
