i really doubt gamestop's opinions have changed that radically from 2006, i mean Gears of War 1 got game of the year over Zelda and some pretty good games that year i dont think gamestop is going to give Gears of War 2 anything lower than a 9.0 just look at the viva pinata 2 rating compared to Viva 1, some nice new features but bascially the same game, gamestop doesnt really penalize too heavily for "same as last year" type of deal as long as its fun in their opinion it will probably score high.
i really dont care the demo was pretty fun dont need a review for this game, i am buying it imo for games if there is a demo and you find the demo fun the game itself will probably be fun no need to wait for a review.

but yeah i might buy viva also because of the nice price-point, but probably not i am going to be extremely busy with GOW2 fallout, and fable2 plus banjo, maybe early next year before halo wars comes out.
i think you should its a great game i have already put 20 hours into it and i am level 40 i want to get to 50 so probably another 5-6 more hours and then i want to try some other classes so i have a long way to go, frankly if you want a real review of too human x-play nailed it on the head and its exactly how i feel about the game,
download the demo if you like than buy it, if not dont its a love it or hate it, i love it personally a lot i tried co-op yesterday it was a lot of fun the enemies are pretty good at scaling to your level to make the levels harder the second or third time through the game.
just beat it, pretty sweet game i loved the ending anyway its was a good dungeon crawler/action-rpg type game and there arent that many of those so yeah i think its well worth a purchase, if you liked the demo than yeah you will like the game i think.
the stage demo showed most if not all of the features that were promised the game looks like a great amount of fun espically the drop in drop out co-op
