I remember you from the giantbomb forums. You are from blizzard correct? What do you think about all of this?

I just listend to it again and its even worse than i thought. Tom's entire attitude towards the game was negative. Even the way he spoke about it you can tell in his voice that he didnt want to be talking about it. There was one host who was trying to defend the game and Tom kept shooting him down.

Seriously Tom is the worst most console biased host on the hotspot. Absolutely disgusting and gamespot has lost all credibility from me.

It means they don't know what they are talking about because SC2will be difficult to pirate. And past history of starcraft is a 11 million units sold of Starcraft 1, in a time where gaming was nowhere near as mainstream.

Console bias? but they didn't comment on the quality of the game, they just talked about sales. How can that be bias?

Also, they are right for the most part. Wether you like or not, there will be less sales because of piracy and because the gamedoesn't belong to popular genre such as a console FPS. To what extent you believe sales will be affected is up to you, but the fact is, its going to happen.

you cant pirate it. it requires authentication for single player and multiplayer. The authentication servers require a cd key and activation. It requires constant internet connection. Its like AC2. Also they were talking about how the publisher might not have confidence in it. Thats total bs

I have been a listener of the hotspot for a long time now. This last one on 7/20/2010 really pissed me off. Every single host was bashing starcraft 2 saying how it wont sell, people dont buy pc games anymore, people dont play RTS games anymore, people will just pirate it ect.

I have to say that now i understand that gamespot is completely console bias. What makes you think that starcraft 2 is going to flop? It is one of the most anticipated sequels ever. It is not just "starcraft 1 with better graphics. It is much much more than that. Tom Mcgreno was very negative about the game on every level.

Also the view that everyone pirates pc games is very insulting and condensending.

I will no longer be listening to the hotspot due to this clear bias.
