[QUOTE="1Stark1"]You can't be serious. Its just another Halo game. It seems people like to glorify Halo just because it sells 10 million copies. If thats the case, GT5>>>Halo. Gameplay wise, Halo will be nothing new. It will be a good game however, but nothing to stop PS3s momentum.Arbiterisl33t69
Halo.. what? Halo will be nothing new. So the name of the game is Halo? Lol what? And I lol how you're POSITIVE the new Halo will be nothing new when in reality it's VERY DIFFERENT from Halo 3.
Just like how Halo: ODST was very different right?
To be honest guys, I'm more of a Star Wars fan than a Final Fantasy one, so what I said is a bit bias.:P

Well at least you're honest, that's cool. I'm more of an FF fan and I played FFXI for four years so I have high hopes for FFXIV. Good luck with the Star Wars MMO.
You guys have a lot of faith in Bioware to make a great MMO. There's nothing wrong with that except for when you start saying it's the only MMO capable of competing with WoW. That's a little over the top.

In your other comment, you said not in video games, well, to be fair, I'm talking about popularity in every other medium. And Star Wars outdoes Final Fantasy since it's in more mediums therefore it's more popular overall.
Other MMOs can compete, but they need to be very popular 1st, a new IP would most likely need to not only be popular but make more games out of it as well at times. Lets hope for the best.
Star Wars is more popular overall, but I don't think most fans of the movies are up to playing an MMO or any Star Wars video game for that matter. Final Fantasy on the other hand is a video game franchise so the fans all play video games. Which fanbase has more people willing to play an MMO? I don't think anyone can say for sure.

Look at BioWares track record. They made Star wars good again were the main creator dragged it though mud. The made a mmo with full voice tracks for every character and a deep story that rivals many single player games. If you look up what they are doing you'll be amazed at it's scale.
I'll check it out. FFXI is also well known for it's story and there are already very well done voiced cutscenes in the alpha version of FFXIV so there's some potential there as well. It's an exciting time for MMOs.
