IGN mentioned how friend codes were mandatory in one of their mailbags.
I'm willing to bet friend codes are in Madden 08, just not in as big of a role.
Or maybe IGN wasn't telling the truth. Would hardly be the first time, esspessally about the wii.

I certainly remember the massive dmage control about the Wiis online especially how Friends Codes were going to be imminently replaced.
That's irrelivant even if that was accurate, which it isn't.
Just like how Wii was going to have good graphics. Just like how Wii will automaticaly have the best games. Just like how Wii will have the best Online service. Just like how its non-fee based nature will beat XBL.Seriously, as a owner of the Wii, the future of the console is bleak, there are no good games on it now and there are three planned, all of which sequels that really do little to make themselves any different.
so you've never played pc games online? or used any online service on the pc?

i really dont see only three games planned either... perhaps three solid first party titles (then you're skipping bwii too)
but nights, dewy, zack and wiki, no more heros are all 2007

On PC, there are nice people willing to pay for your gaming needs, that is dedicated servers, on consoles you cant even if you want too...
