Brawl is more balanced and has most of the same fighting elements from Melee, with all the glitches taken out. The original is the shallowest since it isn't a fighting game in any sense.
Brawl is infact less balanced then melee, In melee we atleast had Shiek, Marth, Fox, Falco, Peach and C.falcon winning all the big tourneys. In brawl every single major tourney has been won by either snake or metaknight.
Brawl isn't a buttonmasher, however it is actually very dumbed down from melee. Believe it or not melee had an extremely deep meta-game which takes years to master. Brawl however has a meta-game consisting of spamming the up b button with metaknight or camping with snake.
