@assassins8creed Err no. Compared to Max Payne 3? FC3 is a great console game I'm sure but for PC it shows its age already, Max Payne 3 is sweet on PC. Gameplay wise, Max Payne is unique while FarCry 3 offers nothing new it just added a feature that's better in other games. Story? Please... MP3 clear winner. Sure FC3 is "vast, open world, sandbox" bullshit, no matter how vast and sandbox it wants you to think it is you end up doing the same crap over and over again. MP3 even though heavily scripted and linear is somehow much more fun. Far Cry 3 is the equivalent of gaming junk food.

@Blackened_Halo Gameplay is repetitive and dull. Crafting is unimaginative, they could have showed players how the hero is crafting, they could animate how the hero straightens up his thumb from a bad fall but they can't animate crafting? And many inaccuracies representing the many animals on the island. Cassowaries (the flightless ostrich looking bird) AREN'T PREDATORS, they eat fruits.

Far Cry 3 has great ideas but were poorly executed.

@ewjiml I never said I like Crysis 2. Far Cry and Crysis ever since they turn into primarily console games have suffered in terms of quality. The Crysis series now have lost its open world gameplay, and is just showing off eye candy reflections and lightings. Far Cry ever since Crytek sold its name to Ubisoft is just trying to cash in the name with mediocre sequels. Far Cry 2 and 3 are overhyped, try to play them without remembering any of the reviews saying how great those games are.

The original Far Cry is still better than this game. This may be a good console game, but for a PC game it's just too shallow and previous generation graphics.

9.0?? Really? I'm playing Far Cry 3 on the PC and it's just an OK game really. Come on guys, Crysis still has way better graphics... The open world style gets boring quickly, repetitive landscape, the story and acting sucks balls, enemies are the same over and over so is the flora. As for the fauna, all predators behave the same which is running after you endlessly until you kill them. The whole collecting and crafting is just uninteresting at best. Ubisoft does a great job hyping the game it seems.
