@constantterror You're being a bit over-reactive and unreasonable with your comment. The game got a good score so I don't see how that suddenly makes it a fail. Perhaps you should try it first before judging it so harshly, rather than just basing your opinion on a few trailers and perhaps a demo play through.
Lol. You know that the sentiment of entitlement gamers have has gone too far overboard when they complain about getting free stuff. And here I thought the recent news about blaming violence on games was causing me to lose enough brain cells as it is...
@hman123456 I'm afraid you're somewhat delusional. But don't worry, I hear there are institutions that cater for people just like you. You can have a nice comfy padded cell all to yourself where none of the zombie liberal children will be able to reach you.
Then maybe you'll have the time to reflect on the irony of speaking in such an inhumane way and then declaring that others aren't human. Your comment is full of so many contradictions, I couldn't even be bothered to take you seriously.
With every new article on this subject that I read, I feel some of my brain cells dying horrible, painful, agonizing deaths. Soon there will be none left and then I will become some sort of crazed lunatic who goes on an unadulterated rampage that will likely be blamed on violence in games.
One thing I do agree with is that games that exist in a public space should cater to all ages as far as possible, because unlike games that are sold retail at the discretion of those buying them, any kid can play an arcade game regardless or parental control or the game's age rating. Thus overly violent or graphic games could be a problem if the child playing them is under-aged relative to the game's age rating.
In saying that though, I hardly believe Time Crisis or Beachhead 2000 would fit into that category, as both are rated T (Teen) and thus are deemed suitable for children 13 or older. If your child is younger than that, then what the hell are you doing letting them out of your sight at a public stop in the first place?
I also don't agree with blaming violent games for violent behavior, because that's just passing the buck, as they say.
@AlbertWesker909 So because Polos outsell Lamborghinis, I suppose that makes the Polo a better car... *facepalm*
Your logic is a fail. Both consoles are great and that has been proven by the fact that both have done well over the past few years. Get over your fanboyism and just enjoy the games.
I don't see why this news is suddenly cause for a flame war. Are you children still not over the whole "my daddy is stronger than your daddy" mentality?
Let's be grateful that all three consoles did well, because it spells good news for the future of console gaming as a whole. Also, competition is not something that should be scorned. It should be celebrated, because it drives innovation, technological development and helps bring down pricing. We'd do well to appreciate our competitors rather than running them into the ground in such a cynical and - to be frank - immature manner.
It makes me wonder if half of the users on Gamespot are even adults to begin with...
@EvilShabazz But if I'm driving east and the sun suddenly comes up, I may get blinded, drift onto the wrong side of the road and have a head on collision!
@Syk0_k03r @hexhunter222 Console Imbeciles? I'll have you know multiplayer games were born on the PC long before consoles were cashing in on the craze, in case that was a fanboy moment you were having.
Aside from that, all I will say is that different people have different tastes. Some like pizza, others like seafood. Some like single player games, others like multiplayer games. Hell, some even enjoy both. Just because their tastes are not the same as yours, that does not make them imbeciles. You, on the other hand, are painting a very poor picture of yourself by being close-minded, condescending and insulting towards others with no justification to warrant such behavior.
