[QUOTE="Tenudin"][QUOTE="Bread_or_Decide"]NG2 suffers from what we now like to call "the japanese devs do not innovate" syndrome. Like DMC4, it'll be good, but really just more of the same. Animal-Mother
In this instance, more of the same might be a good thing. Who says you have to reinvent the wheel every time? The same gameplay mechanics with a fresh story could be all that is needed to make a great game. It's not exactly like the game was a button masher.

apparently everyone who didn't like devil may cry, but if ninja gaiden does it and they love it i'll be somewhat disapointed in those people

The NG gameplay was some of the tightest controls I've ever experienced. The experience was just so fluid. I honestly don't see them making much of an improvement other than increasing the response from button press to actual action. But we're talking about milliseconds here.

I would imagine that the dark areas in NG2 would be about the same level of darkness in the darker areas of NG. It looking darker on the gameplay videos could be a number of things.

If it follows the same formula of greatness then it will be. The first was by far my favorite action game of last gen. But I will wait and play it before I declare it to be greatness.

My 360 doesn't cater to me because I've sent it in twice now for repairs. Not to mention Xbox Live goes down every Christmas when I'm on vacation from work and finally have some time to sit down and play. My PS3 doesn't cater to me because it doesn't have the library and is mostly for Hi-Def movies right now. The Wii doesn't cater to me because it is turning out to be just like the Gamecube. Decent game every now and then but most of the library is meh at best. Which incidentally is the reason I haven't bought one yet. PC doesn't cater to me because I don't have the money to upgrade new hardware every six months to keep up with the graphics.

[QUOTE="Tenudin"]I've seen no mention of GTA4 being exclusive. The game is too far along to be dropped off one platform or another. But as I stated earlier I did read a few months back that GTA5 would be Sony exclusive due to the disc space of the BD and that Rockstar could create an open ended world unlike any other they've previously done.HuusAsking
Thing is, you have to imagine it's gonna be a while before GTA5 ever comes out. I mean, GTA3 was on the PS2. Probably by the time a GTA5 is ever taken past the concept stage, we'll be into the next console generation, where MS will probably have a BD drive all ready for the occasion.

This is true. GTA3 was on PS2. But Vice City and San Andreas were also on last generation's consoles. These were full length games. They just didn't carry a number. Who is to say that Rockstar repeats this pattern? GTA5 could be the next title in the works which would most definitely place it in this generation. Personally, I don't care either way. I never was one of those people who loved the GTA series. For me it was fun for a while but got stale. Just thought I could contribute to the conversation with info I remember reading about.

I remember hearing something about this a few months back. Rockstar people said something along the lines of it being a PS3 exclusive again due to the Blu-Ray disc allowing the space for them to do things they were previously unable to do with the limited space on the standard DVD. I don't remember exactly where I read it but maybe things have changed since then. Who knows? All you can do is wait and see. Speculation gets you nowhere.

Gears will be nice and I will most likely pick it up but it pales in comparison to my anticipation for MGS4.
