@sn34kyluck14 "Xbox One version runs in at least 1360x1080, while PS4 version is native 1080p; both run at 60 fps". There was a Yahoo article from Gamespot earlier today that clarified this.
I wouldn't consider it a failure if it's got a minimum of ten games that are worth playing. I'll gladly get one when the price for one hits 200 bucks. And, by then, the ten games I want will be discounted in price.
If steam is trying to bring gaming to the living room, or bedroom, or whatever room... and they want to compete with consoles in terms of graphics and speed - those are going to be extremely expensive Steam boxes. Seriously, most people will keep playing Steam games on their gaming PCs, instead of buying a steam box. If they want a Steam box that compares to a gaming PC - that hooks up to your TV - you're going to have a choice between a PC you can upgrade anytime, or a Steam "box" that you settle with for your living room.
Instead of focusing on providing a platform for new games to come out on, or greenlighting indie games - maybe they just need to make another fucking game once in a while.
You know what I have Steam for? HL1, HL2, DoD, CS, and some demos. Somebody crank that valve in the back of that fucking guy's head so maybe they make a new game instead of trying to enter the video game console wars or whatever.
