Is it worth buying? Heck yes.

Is it worth $30? Try ebay for a lower price, or something.

The OG games were not a "hit". They appealed to the niche audience they were meant for, and turned a tidy profit. The only reason they even worked is because the OG games have NO ANIME CHARACTERS OR MECHS. Everything in them is Banpresto created, with the majority of the characters being from past SRW games. That's one liscense to buy. However, the mainstream series can have 40+ anime series in one game, and you need BOTH the Japanese and American liscenses for EACH AND EVERY SERIES. This isn't to mention the fact that you're aiming at a niche market at best, and half of the series in any given game haven't even been seen in the US, at least not in major circles. Ever heard of Mazinger? Getter Robo? GaoGaiGar? Turn A Gundam? Voltes V? Daitarn 3? Gunbuster? Aura Battler Dunbine? These are some of the more WELL KNOWN anime in these games, not to mention the obscure ones. It's pointless to even hope anything but a fan translated ROM or ISO of the SRW games will get to American shores.

[QUOTE="ycdeo"]u can also avoid buying it inorder to save some money.SuperBeast
That's what I would suggest.....Don't bother with Oblivion, it's the worst ES game ever made.

A) Filthy lies.

B) The worst ES game is still better than the majority of RPGs, much like the worst Mario game is still better than the majority of platformers.

2 Words: Liscensing Heck.

Firstly, there's the issue of getting the rights to the series from everyone who holds them in both the US and Japan. Next, they need to decide what to do about series never released in America, or series released in totally butchered form (GoLion -> Voltron, Macross -> Robotech, etc.). Finally, they need to localise everything properly and translate it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make a profit off of mainstream SRW games in the states right now, though the OG games are doing well.

EDIT: It's out in Japan right now. Since the DS is region free, you can import it if you want.

[QUOTE="nytrospawn"]The Wii uses pre-existing hardware architecture. They should already know how to take full advantage of the Wii. Its just cheaper if they use minimal effort to accomplish ps2 level graphics.tomarlyn

No, it doesn't. Despite what many seem to think, the Wii does not use GCN hardware, GCN Dev tools, or GCN anything.

Miyamoto said it was based on Gamecube architecture. It is old technology too, single core processing, nothing fancy, the same level of tech dev's have been used to for the last 5 years or more.

"Based on" =/= "The same as"

Based on the review scores I see on Gamerankings, they've toughened up somewhat and pulled out a lot of bias. Still, I don't actually like any gaming magazine.

Uh, no. I needed no such thing.

If you're using wireless internet, you just need to program the Wii and be done with it. It's in the settings menu.
