So first day of E3 is over, there was good stuff announced and show today, and some stuff that made my head explode. like the second half of Microsoft's conference that successfully destroyed any hype I had for Kinect (formally Natal). So let's talk about some games shall we.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising
Shaping up to be a interesting spin-off. Action looks pretty solid, and the slice gimmick looks pretty interesting. Cutting down buildings on enemies looks to be full of win, and of course the watermelon abuse. I rike it Kojima.
Gears of War 3
Wasn't sure what to expect with this one. The demo shown looked really solid and showed great improvements in the engine (and more color), and it was nice seeing the return of the Beserker, now with tentacles. Hard to fully tell with the short demo but it does look like they are learning from mistakes with Gears 2, and the 4 player co-op should be a great addition, especially with more team work involved judging from the demo.
Dead Space 2
Mother******* zombie babies! Nuff said! Sign me up for that ****! Can't wait to see more tomorrow. *thumbs up*
Halo Reach
With the mixed opinions on the beta for the multiplayer I was interested in how campaign was going to turn out, thankfully no matter if the new ****ultiplayer turns out good or bad the campaign is looking nice (which is good for me since I am one of the few that prefer the campaign and co-op to Halo's multiplayer). AI is looking much improved over previous titles, and the same goes for animations, which judging from the demo look like it ties well with the enemy AI (now they know rolling >>>>> running head first at gun fire). I can't wait to see more of space combat!
Crysis 2
Has been a lot of talk about how it would run and look on consoles, thankfully 360 version looks to be shaping up great, itlooked both beautiful and ran smooth, and looks like it will play smooth as well, basically it's Killzone 2 but actually good, and withactually good enemy designs, oh and with a thing called color. Really love the new alien designs, and AI is looking improved with it as well. Can't waittill this game isout since it's looking better than the original, and I am sure better looking on the PC side of things.
Bulletstorm
Latest game from People Can Fly, who are now part of Epic. ThisFPS just looked so wacky and over the top, I absolutely loved it. Fear the giant wheel of doom!
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
It's Assassin's Creed 2 with multiplayer, it's looking alright.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
It's looking pretty cool even ifthe series isloosingeven more ofit's realism. Ilike the new stealth element with Otacon's camo, I mean invisible camo. :P Looks fun and pretty intense, just the way I like it.
New Medal of Honor
Shameless Call of Duty Modern Warfare rip-off, yet still looks better than Modern Warfare 2. *thumbs down*
Call of Duty: Black Ops
It's Call of Duty, now with helicopters, and that's probably it. *yawn*
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Hey it'sa Need for Speed game that people actually wanted instead of yet another generic racing game with Need for Speed slapped on the box.
Hunter: The Demon's Forge
Could be a cool dark fantasy game, even with it's typical Unreal Engine 3 art**** They need to fix that collisiondetection though. Dang, is that **** wonky.
The Witcher 2
Shaping up to be a good action RPG. The new engine is looking really nice, and combat is improved over the original. Need to fix some of those wonky animations though.
Fable III
We learned jack**** when it came to new stuff today.
The Sims 3 on consoles
Uh, yay?
Some random generic shooter I saw on G4 before conferences that was about Korea invading North America.
You know that game you have seen and played a million times before? Yeah it's that but with crappier graphics and AI that runs in front of you and looks at the wall, then continues looking at said wall as you shoot him in the head.

Well that's all I can remember. Tomorrow is Sony and Nintendo's conference. Expecting some big things out of Sony, as for Nintendo I am taking bets if they can out suck MS this year. MS brought the suck this year, but Nintendo are the kings, they'll find a way.
