Half-Life IS better, singleplayer AND multiplayer. Oh goodness gracious there's parts where you may have to stop and think for a second. Maybe it's best you stick to Halo so you don't hurt yourself from all that thinking.

Call of Duty IS better, singleplayer AND multiplayer. CoD1, CoD2, CoD4 > Halo1, Halo2, Halo3.

P.S. Not only is Halo an average FPS series, it's also an average RTS series.

Not really. That was Bungie's first Halo game. They showed that FPS could be made MASTERFULLY on consoles, and that's why the gaming market today is flooded with these games. Halo 3 perfected the gameplay that any true FPS has to offer.
