1. It doesn't take more skill than Halo, have you played in any playlist at 40 or above? Everyone that says Halo takes no skill barely plays the game and doesn't understand that Halo's matchmaking system actually puts you up against people of similar levels, doesn't just throw 8-16 people together in a match.
2. Host is ridiculously overpowered.
3. Hammerburst is overpowered.
4. A combination of 2 and 3 makes this game unplayable.
5. The frag grenades, aka Nuclear Bombs, are inconsistent.
6. Hit detection is terrible
7. Melee system is terrible and screws the game up. Sometimes they register, other times they don't. Gears of War had it right, no double melee with the shotgun, it made the gameplay better. Either you had a good shotgun or you didn't. You didn't just go around trying to two-piece or double melee everyone. (Sorry, I come from shooters like Counter Strike, Quake, SOCOM, Battlefield that actually require you to shoot, not melee your way to victory)
I still play the game, it frustrates the hell out of me. but it's the only third person shooter people actually play on Xbox so I have no other option. You can't ignore the flaws, not even extreme fanboys can. They're way too obvious.

1. Anyone arguing that Halo is as skilled or more than Gears is either a fanboy or hasn't played Gears. I am a legit 100 in Gears of War 2 and was a level 44 in Halo 3 at one point and I can say for certain, it's a lot easier to be good at Halo than Gears.
2. Host advantage is a problem but if you play with a good team it usually won't matter.
3. Hammerburst is not overpowered. A lancer gets a chainsaw, larger clip and low recoil in exchange for less damage. Hammerburst gets more damage in exchange for no chainsaw, more recoil, and smaller clip. Hammerburst does get zoom and melee but melee is not as good at chainsaw up close. Seems balanced to me.
4. My 100 rank says otherwise.
5. Grenades are not inconsistent, it's the lag that is inconsistent.
6. It used to be but has been fixed for awhile. Only in high latency matches is where hit detection is a problem.
7. Again, talking about lag. But what it sounds like is you can't defend against a techinque and blaming the game. I think two piece noobs are the easiest to take out.
You're a legit 100. That's nice.Too bad rank means nothing, when it's based off experience points and not actual skill.
I play Gears way more than I play Halo, so stop with the assumptions, k? The same could be said with Halo. Everyone that says Halo takes no skill means they're either a hater or they never played the game.
