Actually.. Mario was my #2. Duck Hunt claimed the number one spot in my record books. :)

Hmm.. wasn't finding too much of what I liked.. but for any that are interested, the Panasonic PT-AX200U is an AWESOME projector. Extremely bright (light coming in from a hallway light and from my window behind the blinds -- still perfect view. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to switch to a projector.... only drawback -- doesn't work with the "universal" ceiling mounts. Only $1300 on projectorpeople.com, too. :)
Alright, so... currently I've got a Dell 24" widescreen monitor for my desktop, and a 37" LCD tv for my 360, Wii, and PS3... but the two just aren't big enough.
For overall gaming on a projector, what would be my best bet? I'd imagine at least SOME of you use projectors (and have tested the gaming capabilities)... and I'm looking for something no higher than $1500 (Dell credit).. right now I'm looking at the Optoma series of projectors:

Any suggestions for a good universal (PC+console) gaming projector?
Wow.. I really need to read a little more carefully. I was about to go on a balls-to-the-wall from-the-fiery-depths-of-hell flaming spree... then I saw that one of your category titles said "Titles Worth Noting" and not "Titles Worth Nothing". Eek. *whew*
I'm excited... but what about Unreal 3? I don't see that anywhere on your list. And for titles worth noting... what about Worms? I'm sure they could make a super-pumped up (but still the classic 2d setup) Worms game.. :)
One of the things that bothers me the most is why it doesn't offer a good third person view playable mode. I mean we players spend all the troubles and hours to level up, to aquire better weapon/armory, and you pretty much don't see them because you are in first person mode... what's the point?!!!henry4th
It's all about statistics, man... or just knowing you can make your character look good in the circle-button menu screen. I personally like seeing my character spin while being decked out in glass armor... ooooooh, shiiiiiny...
Just a quick question about Oblivion.
I have seen in a few gameplay movies that the grass first pops up when you're almost standing in it.
Is this the case? Or does my eyes just suck?
This is one of the small small things in extremely good videogames that annoys me so much that i end up stop playing them.
Just wanted to hear if thats the case.

That's partially true. When you're playing, if you switch to the 3rd person perspective, you'll notice that your character has somewhat of a large radius of foliage-growing power... so when you're running through the hills, you'll see about 30-40 feet (game feet, of course) out that the yellow/green ground will turn to a blur, then a fuzz, then eventually to grass.
It's really not that noticable when you're playing... but if you notice it, it's pretty much one of those "Oh... that's interesting.. hmph," things.. and you'll keep on playing.
Whose gamertag?ummm itsup to you but if you know his gamertag and you get xbl you can play online with him.

Nah, it's not really needed... but let's put it this way --- once you go to an HDTV, you won't want to go back. It was bad enough when my HDMI cable crapped out and I had to play my PS3 games on my composite cable on my 37" LCD.. I couldn't even imagine having to go back to a regular tube TV.
Oh, and yes.. when you get an LCD/Plasma TV (LCD preferrably, unless you wanna go REALLY big, like 55"+) you'll want to get an HDMI cable. That'll make all the high-def TV-ness worth every penny.
