When you install a game to the HDD is it disc specific? My fifa 11 disc has been acting up, mid way through a match a message will pop up saying that it cannot read the disc. If i install a buddy's copy of the game, will i be able to play it from the HDD with my disc in the system?

So i bought complete when it came out. So far ive only played the original and i really enjoy it, but it seems as though no matter what i do (race, size, type of map) im always doing the exact same strategy in each game, building my military and conquering. I guess im used to other RTS where you only have to dominate. Any tips on how to focus on diplomacy or some of the other ways of achieving victory? Also, do the expansions offer any type of story mode? I havent installed them yet and I tried a few scenarios like the American revolution, i was just wondering if there are more like that in the other games. Thanks

I just beat STALKER this past week and I've been trying to decide which game to buy off steam next. I was thinkin The Witcher, but im not sure. If you had to rank the 10 best steam games, NOT INCLUDING anything related to valve or halflife (cause ive played all those already =p) what would they be?
