@BigAl519 @The_Beanster Not exactly my point; if you are committed to any sort of rationalist or anti-supernatural principles, of course you will not believe the Bible.
But historically, the value of something like the gospel of Judas is just almost zero for learning anything about Jesus. It's interesting for looking at developments in the 3rd-4th century, but not for trying to examine the claims of Christianity.
So posting it and saying "educate yourself" is a bit ironic...
@BigAl519 I think it's funny that people take texts like the gospel of Judas, which are far less reputable historically, and believe what they say over against Biblical texts which are more historically reputable.
@RippySLO @ShawnSwitch It's possible that there's a slight distinction between a person having a way overly sensitive conscience and a person killing and eating other people.
@LiquidGold the NT is not misogynist, slavery in the Bible is not what colonial slavery was at all (and the NT establishes equality of slave/master) etc
