Yep, and you're definitely better off playing Forza 4 and skipping out on the 81 metascore rated Gran Turismo 6 with its inferior physics, visuals, career mode and car selection (and before you say anything, more does not equal better).

Just saying, I'd rather drive Porsches, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Mercedes-Benzes, proper Bugatti Veyrons (all of which are better represented in Forza 4) than the 50 Skylines, 30 Lancer Evolutions, 20 something Civics and the Daihatsu Midget.

@cronjob01 Right, because accidents never happen in real races. I must be imagining all of the crashes I've seen in NASCAR, Rally, Drift and F1 races I've seen over the years. Silly me.

Yeah, you're right, Gran Turismo is a driving simulator. And we all know no one ever has an accident while driving. Not once. No sirree. That literally never happens in the real world.

I want my racing simulator to penalize me for driving like an asshole, rather than Gran Turismo's philosophy which allows any and everyone to play bumper cars all race to get ahead without any consequence.

@adeathnote1 True sim racing Forza may not be, but it's a heck of a lot closer than GT ever was.

@cronjob01"Damage modeling would be nice, but the objective of racing is not to destroy your car. You rednecks who want that should just find a demolition derby type game for that."

That's such a stupid argument. Of course the objective of the game isn't to destroy your car but this is supposed to be a racing simulator. Accidents happen and when those accidents happen, there are mechanical consequences. Just about every racing simulator but Gran Turismo understands and makes an effort to simulate this. Gran Turismo does not get a free pass because Polyphony Digital refuses to stop sitting on its hands and join the rest of the pack in the current decade.

And also on Metacritic, we have Forza Motorsport 4, Gran Turismo 6's current gen competition, sitting on a 91.

Yes, Gran Turismo fans, revel in your victory. You've managed to merely tie the worst rated entry in the Forza franchise and scored a full 10 points lower than Forza 4. Congratulations.

And Forza's physics are better. What point were you trying to make by saying that?

Oh look! Another GT fanboy trying to perpetuate the myth that Forza has arcade physics! Lovely!

Have you people even played Forza? Because I'm pretty sure you haven't. And no, a few minutes at a demo kiosk or an hour on your "friend's Xbox" does not count.

Forza 4 and 5 are both more realistic than any GT game. Gran Turismo's tire model completely lacks grip progression and is more of a binary switch between having grip and not, which is wildly unrealistic, its "simulation" of suspension is a sad joke, it lacks any mechanical damage whatsoever (have you ever seen a race in real life where someone can ping off of a barrier at 100 miles an hour and keep on driving with no degradation in performance? Because I sure haven't!), there's virtually no lift-off oversteer in FF drive cars, and it almost completely lacks torque steer.

You want to say GT is the better game? Fine. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but saying Forza is arcadey and holding GT up as a bastion of simulation brilliance isn't an opinion, it's just factually wrong.

It always makes me chuckle when people say Gran Turismo is this amazing simulator when it doesn't simulate the consequences of reckless driving. Sure, Forza isn't perfect in that regard either but it's far, far better than nothing.

Because the normal grind was terrible to begin with. Until Polyphony Digital added the Seasonal Events to GT5 with their huge payouts (200k) did the grind become manageable. Now, the Seasonals in GT6 are handing out 12k, and we're back to where we started with GT5.

The problem is that adding microtransactions on top of a grind is poor taste. A grind on its own is never good but deciding to allow players to buy credits with their real money rather than simply fixing the grind is especially poor.
