Either broke it outright or will say they got 9AM EST and PST confused:P[QUOTE="Dracula68"][QUOTE="Metamania"] Not sure exactly. I just e-mail contacts to various web sites I include in my listings. [QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"]
Looks like Destructoid broke the embargo:

I don't trust Destructoid at all, but seeing as how there's nothing else up...

That Destroctoid review was gone when I went to look at it. Dangit!
lol, wow, that was fast. I guess they did make a mistake. It was a 9.5, by the way.Looks like Destructoid broke the embargo:

This game is definitely on my radar. Ac2 was the best game of 2009, in my opinion. The question remains, however: Will Ubisoft be able to create and experience as rich, thoughful, and compelling as Assassin's Creed II with much less development time?
Also, will the multiplayer have any legs?
How long is the single-player (which should still be the reason people want to buy this game)?Alot of questions that I think need answering before I put my cash into this game, and Ubisoft isn't instilling confidence in anyone by lifting their review embargo AFTER the game launches. They did that with AC1, and not AC2, which conerns me.

Either that's their way of giving the game as much hype as they can after the game launches or they aren't confident in AC Brotherhood. The latter I highly doubt on. Assassins' Creed 1 and 2 got great reviews, so I'm not worried, unless if the multiplayer or campaign aspect really does stink, which I also doubt as well.
We won't know until the reviews post Tuesday afternoon. I don't have an objection to the multiplayer as an idea, but as a longtime fan of the immersive nature of the single-player gameplay the previous iterations have offered, it leaves me concerned that Ubisoft may be trying to please everyoneby changing the focus of their franchise. As long as the SP is still the heart of the experience (and by this, I mean at least 80/20), and it's near the quality of the lastgame, I'll bite. What I will NOT support is a 6 hour campaign tacked on to what is basically a multplayer AC.
I know what you mean. And I was confident that the SP would deliver... until I found out about this ridiculously late review embargo. What are they trying to hide?
Oh well. I already pre-ordered the game on Amazon and it will be here this afternoon. I guess I can ship it back to them if the reviews turn out to be negative (as far as SP goes).
Let me guess, you really love saying "Sonic sucks"? Just stating my opinion. No need to get defensive.[QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"]
Agreed. Sonic Adventure was a mess, and was responsible for starting so much of what has dragged the franchise down over the years (extraneous characters, long sections of non-Sonic gameplay, "speed" sections that feel automatic, horrendous voice acting).
Sonic Colors seems to address some of these problems, but it's not quite there yet. It seems to be good, but not truly great. I'm still waiting for the next great Sonic game... 16 years and counting...

[QUOTE="Crazy_Legs87"] As for everybody else, they will probably act like this game doesn't exist just so they can say "Sonic sucks" some more. Just like how it is with Sonic Adventure 1, 2 and Unleashed.
Metal_Mario99
Uh.........those games do suck.

If you read the article, you'll see that they said nothing about a game:
"There will be something around Assassin's [next year]. That's all we can say."
I think the fact that he avoids using the term "game" is telling. It could be another comic series, animated movie, etc. Hopefully, they'll stick to their promise of giving the franchise a year off.
But, even if they don't, it doesn't mean it will become the next COD. Plenty of franchises have maintained yearly installments for a while without losing quality. Final Fantasy 8, 9, and 10 were all released one year apart from one another (1999, 2000, 2001) and are some of the most well-regarded entries in the series. Same with the Ratchet & Clank games on PS2. Even GTA3 and Vice City were only a year apart (San Andreas took two years though).
It's owned by Activision now, and there hasn't been a quality installment since Naughty Dog left the franchise a decade ago. Let it die.
