I never had a Nintendo system that didn't work and I owned all of them(except the Virtual Boy). My Wii was punched and dropped with the GC controller cover broken and it still works as good as it did since launch day. I know I don't worry much. Even if it did break on you, repairing it doesn't cost much, less than a hundred in most cases.

I assume you don't care paying an extra 100 bucks. It certainly doesn't reflect the general point of view on the subject.
I'll have to disagree with the general opinion here. I got the Wii within its first month, so I can say that it is one of the old ones, that's true. Although, I haven't dropped my Wii ever and still, it broke after a little more than a year of use. No apparent reasons, but the disc drive stopped working, so I had to replace it. I know other people that have had the same problem and even some that have the corrupted files error thing. I wouldn't say that it is a durable system, since in fact, it has been the only system I have had to repair, along with my SNES (but I was too careless at the time). While it is not the most fragile of the three (*cough* RROD), it is not durable at all, from my experience.
