@Iemander: I can agree with this. One thing that has me worried about the next gen now with everyone talking about ray-tracing and such. If they pick visuals over frame-rate again I will be royally pissed. I'm sure they won't be THAT stupid to make that mistake again. Visuals are quickly forgotten, sort of like watching a 3D movie. But playing an action game like say Destiny(though frame-rate is the least of that game's issues) it's quite irritating when you go to do a quick turn and you have to find your self again because the screen was just a blur for a couple seconds. 60fps should be the absolute bottom nowadays, because really 60 isn't even THAT good.
Did they swap out the extremely lazy/stupid development team yet? Did they get rid of that ridiculous stomp that sends you flying literally a mile away or into a wall that most enemies can do even if they're like 90lbs soaking wet? Do the enemies have a battle strategy other than running away and hiding yet? And if you do manage to get close, then can most enemies still teleport, some multiple times a second?
Yep, thought so. I love the game's concept, but they need to do better than a bunch of monkeys for a development team. The game COULD be so great with even some minor adjustments, and it's really annoying that it's not.
Sony is the only one pumping games out right now, and unless somebody else makes some massive strides soon, they are ahead by a very comfy margin on simply developing 1st party games. I don't get using the words "falling behind". I wouldn't even get "starting to lose a MASSIVE lead" at this point.
@bababooey12: They are both at least half a year away. This is just about all you should expect to get this early. Besides, Sony is still busy pushing out new titles, whereas MS has had all the time in the world to advertise, falling back into their bad, and actually now irritating habit of abandoning it's consoles long before the next gen is ready to be the main player.
@notafan: Talk about putting the cart a few miles ahead of the horse. They are both the better part of a year away. Then Microsoft can START their long journey just to catch up to Sony. As it stands now, they are still falling further behind with Last of us and Ghost coming out in the next couple months.
