Total Access Here I Come!!

I know exactly what everyone will say, why is this guy posting this. There is only one reason for this, it is my milestone in the gamespot community, and i just have nothing better to do.

I have been around gaming communities for a while, nothing has really made me stay. Mostly the reasons could be that you don't click with the people, the features just don't satisfy you, or the staff. It could be any or all of the above.

I gave been following gamespot for a while now, not only as a news site, but as a community as well. About two days ago, i finally registered and decided to check out some of the member feature. After fooling around with it for a while, it was pretty clear that i will stay a regular here. Completely everything appealed to me; the staff, the people, the feature, it was exactly what i was looking for.

So here it is, I'am now a total access subscriber, enjoying all the cool features of this community. It will now be my base of operations as a gamer(evil laugh). I would like to say thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work.

Gears Of War

With an uneventful day at work passing by, I decided to head over my friends work place and see how he was doing. I stopped by the local gamestop to check out the new releases and there it was. I have totally forgot that it was out on November 7th.

After a few hours of playing the game, the experience can only be described by one word, "Unbelievable". Everything from graphics down to gameplay was absolutely perfect. The "cover and shoot" aspect of the game reminds me alot of Killswitch for PS2, especially the blind fire you can make when in the cover. The graphics in the game are just superb. After you break out of prison and go through some building ruins, you see alittle sandstorm which adds a great effect to the area. Everything from the environments down to enemy graphics look absolutely astonishing. The health system is definitely a noticed borrow from Halo, where there is no healthpacks but it restores if you stay out of the enemy fire. Another cool feature is that all the moves in the game are activated only by one button, so there is no controller learning game. Every cool move is activated by pressing the analog stick in the desired direction and activating it with an A button. It has not proven wrong any expectations i had for this game and definitely the best action game i've seen so far. I recommend it to everyone.
