Okay so my last comment was just a spur of the moment thing...but now I'd genuinely like to comment on this video.
First of all, I'm very happy that it came into existence. I was afraid you wouldn't pick this as the subject because of the amount of toxicity. I would have hated that, because Feedbackula as a show does something very wonderful in my eyes: it takes negative or immature comments and turns them into something funny. For me, anyway. That in itself is the very reason I love this show and why I hope you'll continue it.
I agree with your opinion on this crap. The fact that people demand objectivity when the score isn't to their liking (or the motivation for it isn't), is staggering. If every review were 100% objective, then all review scores would be the same. You need to know how it makes a person feel. It's a good guideline. Calling for someone to be fired because they disagree with you is, and there's no way around it, juvenile and quite frankly the amount of persona attacks has been downright silly.
Will Feedbackula motivate people to write more of these comments? I don't think so. I believe that, whether or not Feedbackula existed, people would have lashed out in this way. No matter what. Because apparently having respect for others is too much to ask for. Haters will always be haters on the internet and, sadly, there's nothing you can do about it except moderate and make the best of it. I feel truly sorry for the entire Gamespot team that they had to endure all this nonsense.
So yes, thanks for this video, Johnny, and I sincerely hope you'll continue it. Not all of us are like this. Some people actually know how to disagree with someone's opinion correctly. Thanks.
@tazdevil33 It is... XD But I think you misread my post. I said gamers aren't taken seriously. As in by the general public. Who would, if you see the verbal abuse they hand out over a review?
Wow, I can't believe you guys are still going at it! Take a deep breath and move on, people. It's not the end of the world. Gee, and people wonder why gamers aren't taken seriously...
@AndreJr7 To be honest, I hadn't even noticed...but it does seem rather easy. Lightning never seemed in any trouble.
What made it tedious for me, though, was seeing Lightning attack normally and taking off a smidgen of the target's health bar. And then, some inexplicable commands later, suddenly she churns out an attack that takes it out in 3 hits, Seems like too big a difference to me.
@baral-o My issue with XV is that it's basically a spin-off game that has been granted main title privileges. The game looks good and interesting, but I'll be sad to see that FF will no longer be a series of solid turn-based RPGs (with action spinoffs, not the other way around). But then, a lot of FF fans are so hard to please it doesn't matter what they do; they'll be hated anyway. XD
@saucex4 @baral-o I haven't played XIII-2, and didn't know about the character switching. That IS pretty cool, it was kind of annoying at times to run into a spot of bad luck with your leader and have to restart.
Now, you see...I know a lot of people dislike XIII because of the linearity. And I'm not going to say it isn't. But I keep scratching my head at people who honestly expected a non-linear FF. I mean, really? It's been all about telling a story through linear sequences. Granted, in previous FF's you had more options to backtrack and in older games, you received transportation to move around the world map. But that world map doesn't exist in newer FF's anymore. If you dislike the game for it, I won't blame you, since XIII did make it blatantly obvious with the narrow corridor maps. But I hate it when people say every other FF wasn't linear at all. ><
Anyway! Yeah, I hope this game turns out to be good.
@DaRq_MiNoS @Vojtass Wait, what? They won't tackle GTAV? My life has ended! I was so looking forward to seeing all those comments in a humorous light. T_T
I kind of see where you're coming from though, didn't think of that.
Sounds interesting! I didn't buy SCV because of its lack of singleplayer content; something the series traditionally excelled in. And I did love SCII's Weapon Master mode, it's still my favorite SC mode today. I'm interested to see how this turns out.
