I don't know how I feel about this. For one, the 80's vibe fit in just as well, but with the story details and the bum it would have to be modern day. Just as well, Liberty City is much more central to the GTA games and I can understand why they would remake it, but areas like London and Anywhere City from GTA 2 could also be easily made and put into a game.

Regardless Rockstar makes gold about 98% of the time, so I trust their judgement and love the hints. I also heard that Packie went to Vice City at the end of TBoGT, but he could have also gone to Ireland (I'm just going by hearsay since I have yet to play it to completion).
