Not my most original topic I've contributed, but I am curioius to just how many people on the PS3 board simply can't go back to any previous generation of games and consoles because of how much you're used to the graphics.

I still love the old school stuff, especially the Atari. Still play PS1 games and NES/SNES games when I get the chance. But I do love me some Dead Space.

The reason I'm asking is that I own a fairly big DVD collection andrecently I've had a few of my friends come over to watch a movie. They have ended up beening dissapointed that a large portion of my collection is dedicated to movies of the 60-80s era. I tried to get a few to watch 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind', they refused claiming it was dated and boring. Another time I tried to encourage them to watch 'Alien' when they wanted to watch a good thriller/horror. Again they claimed it was old/dated and wasn't scary enough and ended up going out to rent Saw. Tried to get them to watch'The Great Escape' again - no dice. Don't even get me started on their reaction to'Blazing Saddles', 'Splash' and 'E.T'.

It seems these older gems arebeing overlooked these days byyounger people looking for the new CGI and big bangs. I'm sure if they actually watched these movies they could appreciate them but for some reason they react as if allergic to anything that was made before they were born as if they know they wouldn't like it. It's frustrating.

So do you appreciate movies regardless of age? Or do you tend to veer away from anything that you classify as 'old'?

I do, I actually prefer the oldies to the new ones (for the most part). I watch TCM all the time. I would love to have a lot of the oldies in my collection but I lack money......Someday.

I want the trophy but dont wanna spend too much time on it so i was wondering when i play thru infamous again(i need 2 cuzi accidentaly deleted ma file :)) should i play in hard? Is it WAy harder than easy?

Cheesehead9099

When I first played infamous and beat it I saw that I got the trophy for beating it on hard difficulty, I guess 'Hard' is the default cuz I didnt even know there was a difficulty setting fo the game until I went into the options. So no it's not hard at all honestly.

I've read alot of articles saying Dante's Inferno is a God of War copy cat, I'm not trying to start anything I'm just sayin. I do want toget Dante's Inferno because the fact that it (supposedly) plays a lot like GoW isn't necessarily a bad thing of course (unless you're a person who doesn't like the GoW games) and because the Dead Space team is doing it.

:}

But in any case God of War is pretty overhyped although I do really like the series so far. I Just wish it were longer.

Sony and Philips own the Copy right and Sony owns the words Blue ray, i doubt it but it would be awesome if it did come.Javieralijandro

Yeah that's what I thought. My friend mentioned that SONY and Phillips teamed up and made the BluRay so it'd be kinda weird and highly improbable if MS made BluRay for their console. I also remember one of the head honchos of MS mentioning that BluRay is not the future so I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.
