@speedcrysis So I take it you've played and completed the game fully to be able to disagree so strongly with one review and agree with another?! If not then what the heck are you talking about? Just because you WANT a game to be good and you've been waiting for it's release does that immediately make someone who says it isn't as amazing as you hoped wrong?! Err, no. In fact if anything I trust GameSpot more than IGN due to the commercialization of IGN meaning companies can pretty much buy a high score for their game. Plus you can tell the GameSpot guys are GAMERS! Not just hired presenters! But I use both sites and they often disagree but just listen to what they say and make your own verdict based on the facts. The number score is only an opinion, but facts are facts. From watching the gameplay in this video and listening to the facts about the game it sounds and looks like a bunch of stuff that's been done multiple times before and seems OK but nothing special. That's my opinion. Now you watch the video, listen to the facts and come up with your own opinion, and stop making out other peoples views are wrong. Dumb ass!

@latingold2005 Wow you're going to get tonnes of hate for that lol. Bit of an extreme generalisation, mostly untrue too. I am NOT a PC gamer but am sticking up for them because they play on PC because it is superior. But you are right that they should stop having a go at console gamers as there are many reasons why we choose consoles over PC. Partly because when you have a console you have it and don't have to ever upgrade it or replace parts to keep up with the latest software requirements. And it can be expensive to get the BEST from the BEST games on PC. Sure games on PC look better when you see them at their best but at least on my consoles I know I am seeing the game at the best it can be seen on the platform without worrying about my hardware specs. Then there is the whole achievements/trophies scene and the fact that we like to just chill out in an armchair/couch in front of our big screen TV's which is made easiest with a console. There are lots of pro's and con's to both consoles and PC's but none of the "reasons" you gave count as either!

Haters haters haters, grow up. I'm a huge PS3 fan and have always viewed the PS consoles as superior to XBOX (in my opinion!) due to the more abundant and innovative exclusive titles, better analogue sticks meaning better control for racing/fps games, sleeker user interface and general lack of trying to milk you for money by charging for neccessary add on's BUT I still own and love the XBOX and am the first to admit that although Halo hasn't changed much over the last decade or so Halo 4 does still look very good and will probably be the first 360 game I have actually bought in quite a while. On one side there are lots of series out there with just as many sequels as Halo that haven't changed a lot either, the only difference being that they are released a lot more regularly, such as Assassins Creed, COD etc. At least Halo aren't milking us for money by releasing a slightly updated game every year. On the other hand they have had longer between releases to make more changes and improvements so there is that. But although if anything I would have to put myself in the Halo haters column if forced to choose I have still enjoyed playing all the games and they always offer a lot of content. And why not take aspects from the most popular shooter of today, it's not like they're copying the gameplay just maybe incorporating the method of leveling up/perks etc that has proven so popular. What does annoy me is that so many people complain about the lack of innovation but still go out and buy these games. COD was awesome when COD 4 came out then was improved further with MW2 but they have gone way down hill and are just yearly rehashes now. But people keep throwing their money at Activision, if those who want to see some innovation stopped buying games like COD every year then they would be forced to make changes to bring the fans back. As things stand they are making tonnes of money with very little effort so you can't blame them for simply releasing the same game over and over with new maps.

It's because XBOX gamers like what they know and they seem to stick with a series once they are hooked, whereas PlayStation gamers demand more innovation which is why games like Journey fare so well on the PS3. Add to that the fact that Halo's roots began earlier than those of Resistance meaning in Halo's early days it was more technically impressive especially as it was released in the early days of the first console of that generation, not to mention Halo 3 also being released in the early days of the first console of THIS generation. And so the Halo games had more impact upon release. Yes Resistance was a launch title for PS3 but games of that quality had been around for a while on the XBOX360 due to its earlier release date plus Resistance 1 didn't really push the envelope. And so the 360 gamers who tend to stick with a series were always going to stick with Halo due to it's release dates allowing it to have a big impact.

One more thought...achievements and trophies. If a game has ones that require online player then people spend more time online thus leading to more discussion in forums etc leading to more and longer lasting buzz around the game. Halo has that and so did Resistance 2 which did quite well but Resistance 3 hardly required any online play for the trophies and so people played it then on the whole forgot about it, or at least there wasn't as much of a buzz around the aspect of the game that should have given it a longer life span.

@ZaneZane @Lord_Norr Zane all your points are valid except for the way you group BF and MW together. They are very different games just like CS:GO is different. Yes MW is about speed and getting the crosshair lined up as quick as possible but BF is very different, it's very realistic with the bullet trajectory being affected by distance etc and weapon recoil playing a large part also. Just pointing it out because to people who don't know both the BF games and the MW games very well it may seem on the surface that they are similar but its far from the truth. MW (still fun in its own way) feels like a paintball game after having played BF extensively.

I quote..."Theres choice elements of how you want to take on a particular action, whether you want to provide sniper cover or support you're troops in a particular situation." So we can either snipe or support the troops? haha! That's it mate just spew a bunch of vague random nonsense to make it sound like this game isn't going to be exactly the same as the previous 3! What you're actually doing by struggling to come up with any actual facts about the game is clarify to us that it will be just that, another clone. YAWN
