It's because PSP has major problems that Sony refuse to address. The biggest obviously being battery life.

3-5 hours is ridiculous. My DS lite has 24 hour battery life if I keep the backlight to a minimum, which is fine.

As a non-PSP owner I would have considered getting a PSP 3000 if they increased the battery life.

Decreasing it = Sony are idiots.

don't think we'll see carts for next-gen consoles... if something is doesn't come up, i see probably Blu-ray being the main format next-gen...

Malta_1980

Blueray would be really bad. It would mean mandatory installations onto a hard disk and long load times.

If next-gen gaming used 8gb flash cards, it would be twice the capacity of a DVD, there would be no need for a hard disk because data streams from flash, and load times would be non-existant.

[QUOTE="Tony-Harrison"]A 4gb flash carts would provide obvious advantages over a 25gb Blu Ray Discs, and I'm not just talking about load times.Hexagon_777

Am I sensing sarcasm?

Of course not.

Flash = streamed data.
Bluray =/= streamed data.

A DVD only holds 4GB, which is fine. An 8gb flash cart would be twice the capacity of a DVD.

A 4-8gb flash cart would provide obvious advantages over a 25gb Blu Ray Disc, and I'm not just talking about load times. You can stream levels and textures in real time from cart.

[QUOTE="Toriko42"]You are right, this is the most unpopular list of all time for a good reason. You don't even know what a shooter is.Toriko42

Condemned is a shooter. It's a shooter because it is first person, you hold a gun first person, and because it doesn't fit into any other genre.

So you're saying any game where you shoot in first person is a shooter...I guess you think Portal is a shooter then

And how exactly is "taking inspiration" from Shadow of the Colossus a bad thing?

Playstation fanboys would betray their own system to flame Wii. How very sad.

stepat201

What? It looks like a blatant rip off. Maybe that's why people are angry?

Shadow of the Collosus is not something you can rip off without it being blatantly obvious.

I dont think SOTC invented really big enemies

Don't be oblivious on purpose. The enemy in this game even looks strikingly similar to some of the Collosus from SotC. And the guy is climing up his arm to kill him with a sword? Gee,I haven't seen that before.

Call of Duty 4 is ripping off Castle Wolfenstein.

OMG a gun? :roll:

Is genre not short for generalization? To help us find games that are similar in taste?

Wanderer5

How would they betray their own system?:?

Shadow of the Colossus was a great game. They're just disappointed to see a game take influence from it that's not on Playstation so they hammer into it which is disrespectful to SotC. They should celebrate the fact that games are taking influence from it. That would be more respectful to SotC IMO.

In other words, they should see it as a good thing that developers are taking influence from it. In slandering the game for it's similarities they're acting as though being like SotC is a bad thing.

Condemned isn't really a shooter since it mainly focuses on melee combat (it's more a First Person Brawler than anything else) but I agree wholeheartedly with The Darkness.

The title's story and presentation have very few worthy peers within the medium and The Darkness powers are extremely fun and rewarding to use. It's easily one of my favourite games this gen. Vey underrated.

Silent-Hal

Yeah me too. The Darkness is easily one of the best games this generation. If anything I think it was underrated because it shies away from military fps gameplay quite a lot, which sacrifices a lot of conventional gameplay reviewers are used to.
