I'm a little disappointed they changed the box sprites some. I liked how they were the same throughout the last 3 generations, kinda uniting them all. From the looks of it, most of those didn't even change so why did they bother?

How hard will these be to get? I've never bought a special edition console or handheld before. I plan on stopping by my local GameStop first thing on the 27th to get one...perhaps earlier to find out if they'll have any.
I know I can preorder but I'd rather buy in person.

Yeah, this hasn't sold me on the mega thing... at all. The only one I like is Mega Charizard. Mega Blastoise is stupid and Mega Vesusaur is more like Double Decker Venusaur. I'm usually pretty open minded to new Pokemon designs but ick.

We totally need like a Mega Vaniluxe though... 3 freakin' scoops with chocolate on top. No joke. :o
That's brilliant. Except we could have each ice cream cone be a different flavor. Perhaps chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. :P
I wasn't expecting this. I was going back and forth with whether to get a 3DS or XL but it looks like Nintendo already made that decison for me. :P
I'm likely going to get the red one. I like Yveltal and will be getting Y version first so the color red just works.
Am I missing something, or have they still not shown the evolutions for the three new starter Pokemon?Lebowski__basic
They haven't revealed those yet. With a month left I doubt we'll see them before the release.
[QUOTE="TopStarRacer"]Ugh I doubt it. There are 649 pokemon now. Even with 25 PC boxes we'd only have room for 750 and there will likely be more than that. Need room for extra legedaries and shinies, etc. 30 free boxes would be nice...That's what I am hoping. The games should have at least enough storage space for a living Pokedex.

Gen III had 14. Gen IV had 18. Gen V had 24. Gen VI should hopefully have 28-30 free boxes. I just hope they don't short us because they introduced the cloud storage.
The regular storage boxes in the Pc should be able to hold 1 of each Pokemon. Just wait, it won't, forcing me to use the bank for the live pokedex. This bank stuff is complete BS that should be free. YoshiYogurt

1. The fee is 500 Yen a year so roughly 5 USD a year.
2. Don't know the number of boxes available in game but probably the same number as previous games.

Alright sweet, that's affordable! Hopefully at least 24. They've added more boxes every generation so I hope they won't downgrade the storage space inside the game in favor of the cloud storage...
I'm getting more and more pumped for the games. I do have some questions after seeing the Direct:
1. How much is the fee for Pokemon Bank?
2. How many boxes are available in the game?
Something that is somewhat bothering is what if I'm someone that wants to transfer old Pokemon from Gen V to VI but doesn't want to use Pokemon Bank to store Pokemon? Pokemon Bank is required to transfer so it's looking like you have to pay to transfer old Pokemon. :(

If Game Freak ever ended transferring between generations however...that'll be the day my quest to be a Pokemon Master will end.

I'd be pissed too if they did that. But I'd like to think that they won't do it.
I'd like to think that as well. Completing the ever growing Pokedex would become much more harder. 700+ Pokemon captured & trained from scratch.
