who would have guessed that gaming websites would become so corrupt

comeonthehoops

The media has been like that for awhile now, no matter if its a democracy or corrupt state. The USA is especially biased what with Rupert Murdoch's Media "Axis of Evil" spreading. But I see you're a Celtic FC fan, so you'd probably not notice the biased media what withliving in the UK and the UK laws restricting media having a particular position in politics an' all. The only reason why I notice it is because I watch the US news stations to try and get an A grade in my Economics class.

Same applies to Gamespot and IGN. Think about it. They're a business at the end of the day and so they have to make money. So if a game developer comes running up to you throwing 100's of 1000's of $ in your face to advertise on your site, you're gonna wanna get them to come back with more of the same by reviewing the games in the developers' favor.

Again, football clubs. Coz it's a free market, you can buy as many players as you want with however much money you want, so boring teams like Chelsea and Man Utd buy the best talent to secure the win but might not play the most exciting football. But who cares? You're team is winning and Man Utd are making a nice profit.

I read the review (PA's)and it was pretty centred, while interesting. I pondered for a while on their position of all this and eventually resorted to watching the actual review (JG's). JG ripped into K&L a lot, probably more critical than usual. Looking at the game itself, it seems as if he was a bit harsh, but then again I haven't played it. I think there is definitely room to suggest that he thought the advertising was enough and he just had to step in and put morals and honesty priority to maximisied profit.

one review on a game made by a company giving GS hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of future advertising dollars.

drama queens, leave your tiaras at the door please. we don't know what happened yet, let's not be sensationalists here - we're not Fox news.

Some say, we are.

To be honest, I'm just jumping on the bandwagon here. Sure, the guy losing his job because he said what he felt rather than in the company's interests is saddening, but I'm not losing out either way. I gather it's much the same for everyone else?

K&L was given critical reviews across most gamereview sites, so the problem surely shouldn't lie with JG giving a low score.

Some do speculate though, (yes, I know I sound like FOX news) that JG only played the game for like 5 minutes before reviewing it. But being said, it is mere speculation.

EDIT: Look at the Kane & Lynch player reviews, lol

Didn't almost every site give a bad review of Kane & Lynch?

l'm still on the side of the writers. All their heart and soul goes into writing these great scripts, only to be ripped apart by the executives who want to just cash in.

England were lucky to be third imo. That team has no heart and no drive to win any tournament. They are overrated and overpaid.

Look at Scotland. The majority of their team are on much lower wage than the typical premiership footballer but they fought till the end.

Honestly, who puts Scott Carson in goal for the most important game for England in four years?

I just hope for England's sake this serves as a wake up call to English football.
