He should have reviewed this game with nostalgia goggles on to appease the forum posters. Another old game that doesn't live up to todays standards. Nothing to see here. MFDOOM1983
By your logic every virtual console game should have been scored a 1.0 when they were still reviewing them.

Tom McShea is a terrible reviewer. The Simpsons Arcade game review: Accurate emulation of a very old arcade game, but doesn't have all the features of a modern day game, therefore 3.0 Bad. That makes no sense. It's been mentioned, but he lets his emoptions get the best of him on a regular basis, and his reviews are a sloppy and inconsistent mess.

Wow Tom Mcshea is an embarrasment as a reviewer.

Its not a good game because it sticks true to the original and gives us the game we all loved in the arcade but now with online multiplayer?

WilliamRLBaker
I agree. Review games for what they are, not what you want them to be. If the only negative is that it's an accurate port of the arcade original, then writing a review at all seems like a waste of time.

It's really fun, for a lot of the same reasons you listed. FF13 is a terrific game, so having some more of it, but better, is really awesome. It's a much better direct sequel than FF10-2, that's for sure. I really like Serah as a playable character, and Noel is doing a great job of fitting right in as well.

Nintendo never said we would never get it. They just kept giving the canned "there are no plans," which is PR speak for "we're not telling you yet because our plans might change and we don't want you to suffer even MORE nerd rage on the internet."JordanElek
The fact that what we finally got is only a limited release at one retailer would tell me that, as a matter of fact, Nintendo of America really didn't have any plans whatsoever to make the game available in NA. The limited one retailer release also shows what looks damn near like contempt for the game even now, contempt that their customers had the nerve to say what they want instead of just gobbling up garbage and waiting quietly for the new system. NoA needs to listen to their customers better, and things like this could be avoided, or at least lessened in severity. The Last Story is also likely to be just as heavily pirated over here, and it could be avoided/reduced by a simple announcement of intention to make the game available legitimately in our region.

I never hated HVS, myself. I just found their bizarrely fanatical fanboys annoying, to the point that I swore off ever playing a HVS game just to spite them. (Overbearing fanboys don't seem to realize they can actively harm the object of their affection by being so awkward and annoying) Going by what I've seen of HVS's efforts since, I didn't miss out on anything. Before the Wii, every game they made was mediocre at best, in the Wii's twilight, that remains true. The Wii does have a few under appreciated third party gems, but none of them are made by HVS.

Anyway, for anyone interested the probable Green Party nominee is Jill Stein. Not that it really matters.

She's not related to that obnoxious creationist is she?

Standing up to a bully doesn't always work, in fact, it likely works less than half the time, and only results in a more severe backlash. Once a bully reaches a certain age, they know full well what they are doing is wrong, so if they continue to do it, they should be expunged from the public school system and their parents made to pay for their continued education out of pocket.

Only if Goodman is her running mate. Of course if Matthew Broderick jumps in at the last minute, I'd go with him. If neither of these work out, I'm doing a write in vote for Dan Barker.

They will not implement multiplayer into Virtual Console games. VC games are presented as was, as they should be.
