The ending has been leaked on youtube people. Unless you want to view it, I suggest being more careful on the internet until Thursday.

I agree there should be a variety of scores.

I'm mainly referring too Polygons review which in written content doesn't add up. Mcshea's to a lesser extent but it's still far from perfect. The reasoning should always take precedence.

Polygon's video review does justify the 7.5 score. His main problem was that he was having trouble in combat, saying it was too difficult. The score is somewhat legitimate , since if you aren't enjoying the game, you won't give it a high score.

McShea's review was just out of nowhere. The video praises the story, gameplay, and pretty much calls it a consistent game. But due to the support AI breaking the immersion once in a while, the game gets a 8.0. I have no problem with the game getting an 8.0, but you have to at least have a better reason for giving that score.

did you miss all the parts where he complains about the dark tone of the game, how he didn't want to participate in combat so as not to cause Ellie anymore grief? That review is full of bullshit, including his reasoning of joel being a bad person just for violences sake when other reviews have mentioned there is definitely much more to it than that.

I mean the world they live in is a violent and horrible place, and joe did some very bad things before he met Ellie, his reasoning of dissonance just seemed like complete and utter dogshit with no explanation given.

Had to rewatch the review, and the score doesn't seem so justified now. His main complaint ( in the video) is how the game turns into a 3rd person shooter (though he didn't use a melee weapon once in the video.), and how Joel actions throughout the game made him uncomfortable (which is a valid complaint).I know I haven't played the game, but the review is super iffy now that I've really focused on the negatives. . But the man's entitled to his opinion, so if he was troubled, let him be troubled.

McShea's review is still terrible, and makes Polygon's review valid.

Naughty Dog is an awesome dev  team outside of SW? What a shock.

But in GS, TLOU got an 8.0. So they aren't consistent.

I'll just use a quote from Douglas Adams.

"All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others."

there's alot of truth in that.

While yes there is such a thing as a shitty opinion, the notion that every review should be right in line with a meta score is beyond silly.

If the medium is meant to be taken seriously as an artistic form of expression than it also needs to have a wide range of opinions amongst its critics beyond being professional dick riders. Because it is hilarious how many faults everyone can find in a Mcshea review, but the countless 10s the game has gotten get completely ignored for their hyperbole or nonsense like "the citizen kane of gaming" written by people who probably have never seen that movie nor understand its actual importance in film to justify using that label.

The fact of the matter is Mcshea's arguments for that 8 are about as well argued as a vast majority of the 10s for The Last of Us. For every Patrick Klepick review(who's review I quite enjoyed reading on the game) there is another IGN, Empire, or random website no one ever heard of but f*ck it they gave Last of Us a 10, and Yolo.

I guess I'm the only one who likes the gameplay.

Seriously, no aim assist and limited ammo will make the MP intense. I can't be the only one who sees the potential in this.

[QUOTE="mems_1224"]Splinter Cell Blacklist or Saints Row 4. Forgot which comes out first. NathanDrakeSwag

$60 expansion pack

Have you seen the new demo? It's not a drastic change, but the gameplay has a ton of new additions that make the purchase worth it.

Hate to be a downer, but this news (that toni has expertly laid out ) was discovered by a ND forum user who got banned for bringing this info out. So other than this unfortunate incident, I'm pretty sure this is legit.

Seeing how it's impossible to outdo Up Your Arsenal, it's understandable. Other than the awesome Crack in Time, R&C this gen have been... lackluster.

Not that long tbh. A few months and they drop. Games in general don't retain value for very long if they get large prints which most first party games do.

What about Nintendo games? Brawl didn't get into the $40 range until 2010.

I dunno what it is about Mario and Smash that makes it hold on to its value for so long but those are really an oddity. Metroid and Zelda don't retain value nearly as well.

Zelda gets the same treatment. Skyward Sword is still $45.00 used, and Twilight Princess was $30 new in 2011. I haven't seen a Metroid game for sale in quite awhile, so maybe they are cheap. Maybe it's just the games the Nintendo Kings are in that have the high price.

Blow has some huge vendetta against M$( which is probrably justified).

As much as I want to take his word for it, Ill wait for a more reliable source.
