I can't seem to find this info and I do not want to go and create in upwards of 100 players for no reason. NCAA - one of the number of things EA screwed up with that awful game - will let you create players until your eyes are blue ... but only will acknowledge the first 25 or so; I forget the exact number.

So, does anyone know if there is a hard limit on NHL 08?

Thanks.

Yeah, it is absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere out of this world, especially.

I was at the store today and I overheard someone talking about the game.

I immediately started crying and wishing it to stop. I will likely have nightmares tonight of the only game I've ever played to break me down.

For those of you with NCAA Football 08 for the PS3, you may have already figured out that the online portion of the game is FUBAR. However, I just saw something that really makes me wonder if I have been eating lead paint when I defend EA Sports.

When you go to create a custom room, it gives you a few options. One of them is to make the room "Friends Only." This is laughable considering EA removed the friends list from the game. How badly did they rush this game?

ok then why should Major Leaugers Get Paid?Riley767

??

I could write a short novel in answer to this question. Instead, I will give you the old'fashioned Cliff Notes version of it.

- For starters, and not to sound like I am dumbing it down too much, it is a job. A career.

- They are the top .00001% of all "applicants." You get paid lots of money for being that specialized in a career that is desired by virtually everyone.

- If you ever utter the phrase, "These guys are overpaid" for anyone on the field, you are wrong. Technically, they are underpaid. How so? Go to a ball game and count how much you spent. Then look around. These players generate so much money, they deserve twice of every penny they get. If you want to complain about costs, blame the owners: they raise the prices and **** the fans in countless ways.

Then, they blame rising player costs, but they are the buffoons too greedy and starstruck to simply put their foot down and not give the players ludicrous contracts. Look at it this way. Let's pretend you are the greatet video game critic in the world and you receive $100 per review. A year later, you find out the company down the road is paying some illiterate buffoon $400 per review. You are going to stand up and scream the "show me the money!" cliche. You'd be a fool not to. Now, imagine this when we are talking about millions!

As for paying Little Leaguers, that is just silly. What income do they generate? It reminds me of people who complain about how ballplayers get millions while "romantic" careers like police officers and EMT workers get five-figure salaries. Well, the day that 40,000 people show up - with $55 in their hand - to watch a cop arrest someone, then that is the day the cops can go, "Umm, I'd like a three-year contract worth $21 million with the option to have that go up to $25 million if I bust five drug deals a year."

The same goes for Little Leagues. Until thousands of paying fans show up to Little League ballparks regularly, the little bastards aren't going to get a thing. And, if that does happen, I'll be asking the Eastchester Blue Devils for retroactive pay because I so deserve a few bucks from back then.

I voted for "Loved The Demo, And Im Definately Picking This One Up" under the premise that it is only a rental. That is not taking anything away from the game, but I simply do not care to pay $50-$60 for a game I will play for 8-12 hours and then never pick up again.

every game that i see has low res shadows and texures. look at metal gear solid and heavenly sword swadows and motorstorm. and even killzone 2 has low rez textures same as metalgear solid. what the hell my Geforce 6200 can generate better textures that the ps3.costyssj4

I FIGURE TEH GM3S 2 HAEV IMPROVED GRAPHIS AND TAXTURNG OVAR TEH NEXT 12 MONTHS!!!!!1 WTF

...

In any case, I am going to chalk this up as a system still in its first year and things will smooth out (no pun intended) eventually. I think a lot of people are spoiled by the impressive jump in game quality from the fifth-generation consoles to the sixth. Expecting a comparable jump, even in 12-18 months, is a bit much. If you recall, games like the Bouncer and Zone of the Enders aren't exactly the greatest graphical achievements in mankind, but at the time, you would have thought they were. We were mesmerized.
