I haven't worried about system requirements for any game in the past 4 years. Strange, huh?
I'm sure such a sense of freedom came at a high price too huh?
[QUOTE="TriggerheartEx"]Whatever I'm sick of PC gamers constantly trying to prove how much better PC gaming is, you sound like snobs. Everyone knows that a high end PC will look better than any console, but some people would rather sacrifice a little bit of quality for accessablity, without having to worry if a certain game will actually run on my console or if it meets the certain requirements for each game, and believe it or not some people actually prefer a controller too, I know crazy right. Get over yourselves.donwoogie
Okay, there games on the PC which have high requirements, but Portal is definately not one of them.

256MB of RAM
32MB-64MB VRAM Direct-X 7 level graphics card(E.G, GeForce 1/2/4 MX series, Radeon 7xxx series)
~3 GB free HDD space
Mouse and Keyboard
Internet Connection
Recommended system requirements:
Windows 2000/XP
2.4 GHz level CPU(I.E, Pentium 4/Prescott, Athlon XP/64 processors)
512MB of RAM
128MB-256MB VRAM DX9 compatible video card(I.E, Radeon 9800/X800 series, GeForce 6/6800 series)
~4 GB free HDD space
Mouse and Keyboard
Internet Connection
My old PC, sitting in the corner of my room, lying is disrepair from lack of use could easily run Portal...................
And, since the PC version of a console game inevitably looks better, you can afford to not run it on full settings and it will still look as good, if not better, than the console equivelant.
I know Portal does'nt have high requirements, it was a statement about PC gaming and gamers in general.
Xbox 360
Games- The 360 has the most games with more to choose from, more exclusives, more downloadable content for your favorite games, and most multiplats are usually better on the 360 (according to critics).
Xbox Live- Live has over 12 million subscribers, a huge community, and there is always people to play with so it's never hard finding a match. It is unarguably the best online service for games at the moment. It has dedicated servers which means that as long as Microsoft is still in business you will be able to play any game you want online, assuming you have someone to play it with. Sony's servers however are run by the developers, which means that they could close the servers whenever they wanted ,and you would not be able to play that game online ever again.
Marketplace- The Xbox marketplace has the most content of the 3 consoles from movies, TV, music vidoes, themes, demos, pics, arcade games, and additional game content. There are new arcade games weekly and there is a lot of free content on the marketplace also.
Controller- The 360 controller is a pleasure to hold, it has weight, rumble, the left and right triggers are perfect for gaming and the developers take advantage of this fact, while the PS3 uses the face buttons as the primary buttons. Most people who own both consoles agree the 360 controller is the better of the two.
Price- With a price of $300 for 20g version and $350 for a 60g version, it is a steal. It comes with everything you need to start playing right away: Headset, HD cable, wireless controller, a free 1 month Gold trial of Live, and a free Silver account (which will give you everything a gold account offers except playing on Live). $50 a year is a small price to pay for the amazing online service, which eqauates to $3 a month, well worth it.
Warranty- Every Xbox 360 comes with a 3 year warranty for the RROD, so don't worry about it failing on you.
There are a ton of other great reasons to own a 360 like Netflix, live game shows with prizes, and 8 person party chat coming in fall. The 360 is the console to own this gen.
