Oh, I totally agree. The competition is offering a GREAT GAMING EXPERIENCE for a cheaper price. But as a total home entertainment package, the Playstation 3 is a great deal.

You can connect your PSP to the PS3. You can take the memory sticks from your digital cameras and view pictures on the 60GB version. High-def movies, free online.

And it seems games are low on your list, and barely mentioned when praising the PS3. Now ask yourself, how can the "REAL gaming fans" you keep talking about care that little about the software, of which there is none on the system right now?

The Gamecube was merely a console that did not sell very well. What Sony has gotten themselves into, I highly doubt they will be able to earn the respect of the gaming community again.

The truth is, most of the bashing that I hear in real life comes from high school and college kids that just can't afford to buy it.

Of course, everyone has their excuses. Because real gaming and technology fans want everything they can get their hands on. But instead, everyone uses that great human ability of reasoning to save some face and come up with EXCUSES for hating it instead of simply admitting that 'I can't afford this, so I won't buy it...'

You Nintendo boys think numbers are everything. To an extent it is, but not entirely. To me, an Xbox 360/ps3 is to a Wii what a Ferrari is to let's say Toyota. I would dare to believe that Toyota sells more cars than Ferrari but can we say that Toyota is superior to Ferrari overall? The two cars are catered for different crowds. For playboys, a Toyota is a NO, similarly, for people who like next-gen graphics, a Wii is a NO. So what if Wii sells more? The Wii cannot give me what i want, and i like graphics. Given a certain criteria, the Wii is not even in the same league. The Wii generally has more player-friendly games, such that the games are less hardcore and more adaptive. Similarly, a Toyota is a far more practical car, and cheaper. The Wii is also cheaper.

Although some of you may claim that the Wii rules and all that, but for us who like graphics and own a ps3/360, we are actually laughing at you Wii guys. Similarly, a Ferrari owner would laugh at a Toyota owner despite several claims that Toyota is better because it sells more cars, knowing that a poor man will never understand a rich man's taste.

I say game division because MS and their game division are very different. They are a very big company after all.

This is a game forum, so I would think the game division would be the only important part of the company in this case.
