Mine has been working perfectly since december, even better than the first one I had (manufactured 02-06). Im absolutely sure my 360 gave me the red lights becuase of constant overheating (Oblivion 4-6 hour marathons) and I also had it in a spce with poor ventilation... I didn't know much back then. When I got my new console, I did some research about a cooling device... concluded every single one of them was crap, so I bought a desk fan and have it pointing at the 360's side. I haven't had a single freeze since I got my second console and have a fan pointed at it. IMO almost every single one of the 360's problems has its origins in overheating.gp19
thanks for this post.
when i came home from school for spring break, i played GeOW online for AT LEAST 4 hrs at a time, which means sometimes it ended up being like 6 or 7 hrs lol...only because i don't bring my videogames with me to college, so it's awesome to finally be able to play when i go home. i guess i can't control myself. bad, i know.
like you, i am pretty sure that this type of overheating is what gave me red lights. so like how long are you SUPPOSED to play games for at one time? how much is TOO much?
My 360 gave me 3 red lights not too long ago for whatever reason. I sent it in about a week ago and will probably get it back soon, and am a bit concerned about its life AFTER repair. What I'd like to know is yall's stories of your post-repair 360s. Have they broken again? Have they worked perfectly ever since they were repaired? And also, if you haven't had a problem since yours was repaired, what have you changed as far as the way you use it? I'm asking because I payed a lot of money and I don't want mine to break again. Thanks.
