[QUOTE="TugboatTheGreat"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="TugboatTheGreat"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="TugboatTheGreat"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"] I honestly can't stand them...
THE_DRUGGIE
And why is that?
They sound too generic. Another reason would be that my friend keep balring those songs.....In fact, they're one of my most hated bands.
I acctually dont think of them as generic. I think they are pretty origional with their music.
I disagree.
The singing is reminiscent of 90s hard rock, the guitar riffs are uncreative and plain, and the lyrics don't seem to do anything for me.
Apparently you havn't listend to their newest CD, Phobia. Listen to the lyrics and the guitar, their sound changed a little and they have started to become more intrecate with their music. And the reason they sound like 90's rock is the lead singer, Benjamin Burnley, learned his first guitar chords and riffs from Nirvana, and some of their stuff kind of sounds and relates back to Nirvana's sound of music.
Sorry, but I'm not going to buy a CD from a band I don't like. They had their chance to win me over, and they blew it.
Besides, if this album has Diary of Jane on it, my friend blared that CD, and I was close to choking him to death. >_>
Yes, it does have Diary of Jane on it, but I don't like that song either. It's alright when you just get the CD and you're likeing the music, then they play it on the radio 600 times a day. So many songs have been killed that way...:(
