Don Mattrick and his cronies are responsible for the world wide popcorn shortage... please MS keep these ridiculous PR statements coming, they are absolutely hilarious!
@MonoSilver yeah there was, he was an ex-engineer for Xbox, he wrote an article (that GS reported). This was months before the reveal of the Xbone, he mentioned how sickened he was at the direction the company had taken from its core days with the original xbox.
Reading that article back then felt a tad harsh, but of course it is clear now that he had some insider information on the upcoming shitbox, i mean xbone.
@redmist25 it's a different world these days - we have social media platforms setup as fully established channels to communicate news and events as they happen. This is something that Microsoft embarrassingly failed to recognize. They were not expecting such a huge backlash, but thanks to information being circulated across various media platforms (I'm talking Radio here too), many consumers including those who don't use gaming sites were made aware of the draconian xbone.
"For those who don't have an Internet connection--Mattrick brought up an example of a person living on a submarine--he pointed out that the Xbox 360 is not going away anytime soon."
haha that really has to be the biggest **** OFF ever
The whole 'participating' retailers needs to be put into better context.
For most, this would appear confusing, why have 'selected' retailers. From what I can gather such retailers will need to purchase MS equipment that effectively enables them to de-authorize the game(disc) from your console over the cloud (Azure).
I don't see MS paying for such hardware to be installed in every retailer in the world for free, hence it will be on an enrollment basis.
Now excuse me whilst I complete my PS4 preorder on amazon
