If I had a picture or a video, I'd probably know the title, right?

It's from years back, like Beasts and Bumpkins era. I vaguely remember you had to harvest pumpkins for food, and you could research into magic or technology, possibly post-apocalyptic setting? It was hard as hell as well, the AI bummed me senseless. That's about all I can remember, other than you stacked units up inside buildings and the swordmen were blonde. Oh! and you could get pyro units that said typically pervy/unbalanced things about setting things on fire. By things, I mean people.

I remember this game from years ago I played a demo of that seemed quite promising. It was a turn-based combat simulator but fully 3D, and you could play it through loads of different multiplayer modes: email, hotseat, internet, etc etc. Not much to go on I know, but any ideas?

Me and my brother are trying to play IWD 2, I'm running XP and he's running Vista. If he tries to join or host a game, it instantly black screens on him, but it works fine for me either way. Any ideas? We're both using the same patch, same graphics settings, etc.

I played them years ago as a kid. One was where you built your own flying island type things, with cannons and upgrades available, the other was set in a post-apocalyptic setting, action-adventure-y. They thought CDs were 'light discs' in it, and I vaguely remember the more you used a certain power, the more evil you got, until you eventually went completely insane/whatever and lost.

Pretty obscure, but hey ho! Any ideas?

Edit: The post-apocalyptic one was Dark Earth.

Yeah, Black Isle seemed to go through this period of making games that have never really been matched since, the day they went down was the day I died a little inside.

Night Watch looks decent, I'm going to check it out. As for NWN, I've played the original but not the sequel. Would it be worth going back to the first one and giving it a proper go? Also, HOMM is classic! I used to play #2 as a kid, I love that series.

I've played Anachronox of course, but it's not really what I'm after. It seemed like Black Isle had this slew of amazing games and they've never really been matched -- in fact, the only game similar to that 'Black Isle' style that I've found is Arcanum. I should have titled this thread 'Any games similar to ones made by Black Isle' or something.

Wasn't Divine Divinity a Diablo clone? I wasn't really looking for hack and slash, more combat AND storyline.
