I'll give this a purchase to play every so often. Need an RTS fix so at least I'll have something to play if Blizzard don't fix this issue going around (doesn't allow AU/NZ players from upgrading to a Starcraft II standard edition. Funny how I finally buy it and this error is going around at the same time) anytime soon.

AoE 3 is on special on steam today as well, and I could save a fair bit on AoE 2 if i was to buy the AoE 3 legacy pack or whatever it's called. Is AoE 3 any good?

I enjoyed GoW 1+2 and to a lesser extent GoW 3, but I won't be buying Ascension because I think anything after three is just going to be tacked on.. As for the hours though, for a game like GoW 8 hours could be decent. By the end of GoW 3 I sort of wanted it to end. I had enjoyed it, but there is a point where it starts to get a little old. Relatively short doesn't mean necessarily bad.

At this point, I think they're focusing on new tech in order to creat HL3. At the same time however, if the game actually does see the light of day, I think it's going to be vastly over shadowed by the hype around it.

These are my thoughts exactly.

Waiting for a Bravely Default localization announcement. I'll probably pre-order the Fire Emblem game and hold onto it until then, and sell it if I don't end up buying a 3DS (or Fire Emblem turns out to be amazing and worth a 3DS on its own).

I'm not sure what actually constitutes an RPG (I thought Far Cry 3 would be classified as a sandbox FPS, for example), but for me it would probably be NIER. Some would call it an Action-RPG, others an Action-Adventure. It has similar elements to Zelda but it also has a leveling system, as well as a weapon upgrade system and many aspects you'd find in a Final Fantasy game as well.

But in actuality it's unlike either of those franchises. It's unique and under-appreciated and I love it.

So much crying..

Riadon2

I had to pause the game several times during the ending because it was so hard to deal with.

I was referring to the fallout since the GotY announcement, but this brings me hope. I actually haven't played Journey yet but people crying about GotY is just annoying. I bought Journey earlier today and plan on playing it some time tonight. I'm being pessimistic about it given the disappointments I've had from over-hyped games in the past, so it will either meet my expectations or blow me away.

Edit: Actually, I think you're talking about The Walking Dead. I thought it was a good experience. A good mish-mash of genres but lacking in the gameplay department, as most adventure games are. My issue with games like TWD are that there are much, much better books, much better movies/TV series and much better games mechanically speaking/gameplay-wise. But it was solid all round. With all that said, I wouldn't give it GotY, but I have no idea how it compares to Journey yet.
