You could always keep the ps3 with your parents until you become more comfortable with the dorms.

But finding a stand like that with a lock and a small hole in the back for the wires shouldn't be so hard to find, I'd try IKEA or something.

if your roomate is chill you shouldnt have a problem, jst get locks and tag them down to a table or something, rarely in college ( if your going to a good one) will someone steal from you .. unless your a deuche.. so dont be a deuche and you'll be fine.
