or the Battlefield games, i think you can have those in 3rd person, but its an option, by default its 1st.

I dont remeber CoD3 having 1st person vehicle control... But anywho, this is getting off topic...

Call of Duty 3 started off as third person but you could change it to first person for the tank driving segments.

Call of Duty 1 also had driving but it was limited to only first person, but you didn't actually get to drive.
