No. That's an excuse used by many who haven't done their research which in fact has proven that violent video games do not cause people to commit violent acts.
The Sandy Hook school shooter did not kill those people because he was a "deranged gamer," as the media describes him, but it was in fact because their was something mentally wrong with him.
Violent games are just a scapegoat for people who don't look at the real problems in violent acts like school shootings.
