[QUOTE="gameguy6700"]I'm not familiar with Saints Row 2, but the worst ports I've seen thus far have been: - Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - It's a 30GB install, comes with only one graphics option (a "high detail" checkbox), has issues with crashing and texture flickering, and is woefully unoptimized (although it's far from the worst optimized game I've ever seen). I'm tempted to say that the "port" is really just a rip of the PS3's BD-ROM disc as that's the only thing I can think of that could explain the ridiculous size and poor performance. - GTA4: This game can't be maxed out on even the most powerful gaming PCs. On top of that, the unpatched game is unplayable for most people (lots of missing textures and terrible performance) and although subsequent patches fixed it up, the most recent patch actually made the performance WORSE again. - Singularity: Again, not really any graphics settings. What's really bad about this is that the devs didn't bother to change the game's memory usage from the console settings, so as a result the game takes MINUTES to load textures if your resolution is higher than 720p (which for most PC gamers it is). Because it uses texture streaming this means that the game often looks on par with a game released in 1998 most of the time. Add to that a small FOV (that requires a hex editor to change), a complete lack of AA and AF, and lots of glitches and you've got yourself one really ugly port. On the bright side at least it's easy to run.

Really? My "laptop" can max out GTA IV with only a minor frame rate stutter per minute.

Yup. I see this is a very agree-able situation.

Oh and I havent played Double Agent but I played Conviction and it wasn't just the port that was lousy about the game. It was also Ubisoft's addition of "Have to be online to play"!

Saints Row 2 is the worst port that I have played. SF_KiLLaMaN
The frame rate stutters every 5 seconds and it has heavy screen tearing.

For me, it would have to sadly be Saints Row 2. It is a good game but it was clearly unoptimized.

What is the worst PC port of a console game you have played. And by a poor port, I mean unfinished and has laggy frame rates and forgettable controls.

I think that you have to remove Games for Windows Live though because Broken Steel, Point Lookout, and Motheship Zeta uses achievement support from future patches. Because I tried it last night with the finalfix version and it crashed on start-up. It might conflict with GFWL.

[QUOTE="bowlingotter"][QUOTE="guildclaws"]isn't that pirating?, try updating your Games For Windows Live 3.0, it's not because of your GFWL account, did you tried it without a mod or without an unofficial patch? I think that will workguildclaws
It's pirating if you don't own a copy of the game. He owns a copy. It's then considered a legal backup.

did TC solve the problem? I hope he solved the problem :)

Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition finally re-installed. Steam takes a hell of a long time install them but hopefully this would work. I mostly think though that this is Bethesda's problem and that they should update it, considering that it seems like they haven't been developing games for a while and wouldn't take forever. (WET, Rouge Warrior, and New Vegas are only published by them.) I will post back if I am lucky with it.

[QUOTE="Underworldy69"][QUOTE="guildclaws"]you bought it on Steam? Yes you can patch the game if you have the steam version :)guildclaws
Yep, but I also have the Skullptura's rip of the game (because I thought the finalfix for that version would work. it didn't.) I have bought a physical copy when I had a different PC and my cousin stole it and he gave it to me broken.

what's a skullrupta rip?

A version by the game ripped by Skullptura with a finalfix that is supposed to be less crashy than the original legit copy. I had no luck though. Also, maybe I should delete Game for Windows Live before the patch? I have an account on it.

[QUOTE="Underworldy69"][QUOTE="guildclaws"]did it work? Try installing the game and all the DLC but don't install the unofficial patch, just install the official patch :)guildclaws
Its installing via Steam (a hell of a long time), lol. Would it work with Steam?

No luck.
