I know I'm like a week late on this, but honestly, I am just glad that PlayStation gamers are finally getting a chance to experience this masterpiece. There's a reason this is such a big deal, and that's because this game--nay, this franchise--is phenomenal. It's just simple, magical joy to play, and Playground Games has made it better and better with each new entry in the series. I am actually a little jealous of PlayStation gamers who get to experience this for the first time ever; I almost wish I could wipe my memory of this game so I could go back and do it again.

If you're a PlayStation gamer, you enjoy driving games and you've never played a Forza Horizon game before, do yourself a favor and don't watch any streams or longplays or anything like that. Just buy it, and I promise you will fall in love with it in less than an hour of playtime.

Use a USB hard drive or a storage expansion card to copy the game from someone who has downloaded it. Problem solved.

Yeah man there was a time when I thought E3 was pretty hype. Can't even remember how long ago it's been now lol. At one point, attending E3 was something I really wanted to do. Now you'd have to pay me to go.

Just think a number of factors have dragged it down. Tons of trailers and announcements with no gameplay, for games that are likely years off. Big releases just move at a much slower pace than they used to, and I find most of the big games way less appealing these days. And then the fact that yeah, all these companies can now announce/show games on their own timetables. Makes way more sense, and makes E3 seem like an increasingly dated platform.

Seems more like a fading tradition at this point. One that's become a big hollow commercial for the most part, only having the occasional highlight here and there.

E3 was never a show for gamers, but for businesspeople. I went to E3 once, and all the best stuff was behind closed doors and you needed to make an appointment to see it.

That said, I did get to play PS Vita and WiiU six months before they came out, so that was nice.

I’ve been playing it for about an hour. I feel like there’s a really fun game in here, but I am struggling to find it. I like the cutscenes, humor and art style though.

Xbox Series S is my little travel buddy. I keep it in my car, it goes wherever I drive. I bought the xScreen for it, and wherever I happen to be at, I can unpack it, plug it into power and play full-fat Xbox Series games. I've played it on buses and planes, in hotel rooms, at pinball tournaments when waiting for my turn, and more.

Meanwhile, my Xbox Series X stays at home, where I can play it on my 4K OLED TV and Dolby Atmos home theater system. I bought a 2TB Storage Expansion Card where most of my games are stored. When I leave for somewhere I know I will probably play my Series S, I simply take the storage card, so I have all my games on the go. If I forget to bring the card, well there are enough games stored directly on the Series S to tide me over. Cloud saves means my game progress follows me around, so I don't have to worry about that.

The only problem with using Series S this way is that it doesn't remember the time or wi-fi networks when it isn't plugged in. Every place I use it, I have to spend 5 minutes setting up the wi-fi and installing the latest system updates before I can play, which can take some time if the wi-fi is slow or unreliable.

Bottom line: Series S delivers the full-fat Xbox Series experience in a sweet little package. I have every bit as much fun playing it as I do playing my Series X.

  1. Sony can't afford Konami
  2. Sony doesn't want anything to do with the casino business.

I'm just laughing at all you PS5 fanboys trying desperately to redefine "portable". 🤣

It's OK guys. Maybe you'll get a PS5 Slim in 3-4 years.

portable: able to be easily carried or moved, especially because being of a lighter and smaller version than usual.

Except it has to be plugged into a wall. What does EVERY portable system that has launched since the Gameboy have in common? Calling this transportable makes more sense than portable. Because they don’t actually function without a power outlet…

Not to mention, I don’t think there’s a power outlet near my toilet in the master bathroom. So this fails to check that box as well…

But seriously though, these console screens are neat but nothing new. We had them back during the PS1, GameCube and PS2 days. The concept isn’t nearly as cool or necessary as it was 20 years ago. Streaming to mobile devices is more than sufficient, especially since, again, that route is actually portable.

I think the word you are looking for is "handheld", not "portable". All handhelds are portable, but not all portables are handheld. Game Boy is a handheld. Steam Deck is handheld. Nintendo Switch can be handheld, off the dock and with joycons attached. This is not handheld, but it's still portable.

The difference now is I've got dozens of games to choose from without having to lug a bunch of discs around.

Streaming to mobile devices requires a robust mobile data connection. This doesn't. I can play full-fat Xbox games on a plane with this. Perfect for a cross-country or transatlantic flight.

@pyro1245: According to the people who make the xScreen, it draws a max of 80w.
