Hmm.. the problem is, the criminals thinking doesn't work the same way as the victims so chances are they won't experience it the same way and will come to a totaly different conclusion from the experience. Which will neither enlighten them or change their way of thought. AS most crimes are actions of selfishness, they will perceive the experience the same way.

I believe in rehabilitation and appropriate consequences for deterrence are the best way to handle criminals. Only violent crimes should be punishable by prison time, or crimes that cause violence's in others.

Public Humiliation for example is a very effective form of punishment for non violent crimes.

In most cases, it also falls under cruel and unusual punishment.

I don't see the whole "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" thing being particularly effective as a deterrent.

Mine is reminiscent of a full body seizure, only without the foaming at the mouth.

Eh, not really. That could change pretty quickly with the right evidence, though.

if you consider open-mind an independent, then sureBeesters

Well, if you're willing to take stuff like this seriously, I think your mind is a little too open.

Funny though.

Are you sure about that? I knew about Bill Ayers LONG before Fox even brought up the subject.Beesters

But they brought it up, didn't they? The Bill Ayers thing was everywhere you looked for a while.

And yet this whole "Obama is not a citizen" thing hasn't been mentioned once in mainstream media, even though it's just a few days before the election. Strange, don't you think?

Even more strange is the fact that, assuming this is true, it would equal McCain running pretty much unopposed in the election, and yet no one from his campaign has brought it up.

What do you think that means?
